One day walking home from school Rukia's hollow detector when off. Ichigo and rukia exited their bodies and ran to the park when they got there they saw a hollow eating a soul of a forgotten victim of a very bad death. As the hollow saw the shinigami and roared. Ichigo summoned is mask and dashed to the hollow and cut upwards. It would have killed most hollows were he cut it grew back ichigo try to kill him with a advanced cero and it grew back then he saw it a black ring that glowed pure black. He cut the ring off of the hollow hand and the wounds spilt and died. He picked up the ring after Rukia told not to he wanted to put it on Rukia took it and they went home after she was asleep he took it and put it on.
