Hello people! It's been suuuch a loong time since I was on Fanfiction! But now I want to write more so I'm back with a One-Shot!
This story is based on Gravity Falls, one of my all-time favorite shows! In this One-Shot they are here in their second summer.
Hopefully I've improved with writing since then!
DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR THE PLOT
So, without anymore to say, let's get started XD
It's been three days since Wendy had turned down Dipper. But Mabel knew her brother felt more like he was rejected.
She sighed, and pulled on her shoes. Her brother was already outside, tromping to the forest.
The sky was a beautiful array of colors, showing the sunset perfectly. The sound of wild birds echoed through Gravity Falls.
Ever since "That Day," the day Dipper got his heart broken, this had been a regular routine.
Dipper would put on his shoes, his sister doing the same. They wouldn't say anything.
Then he would walk slowly to the forest, looking around, as if he had something terribly important to find.
But she knew... she knew he was just... thinking. Thinking about all that happened in the last summer they'd been here, and now this second summer.
Mabel was glad that they weren't in any deeper trouble than Dipper being depressed. But she knew this somehow affected him more than ever.
Sisters just knew that about their twin brothers.
Sometimes... she wanted to run back to the Mystery Shack. She wanted to just sit on the couch and watch something.
Call her friends, with whom she haven't spoken with for so long. Or maybe, just sleep.
But here was her brother, broken and battered, needing her comfort and support.
And she just couldn't leave him. After all he had done for her.
And that is why, every time, she would follow him... wordless... to the small clearing they had found.
There was a shimmering pond in the middle of a grove of trees. Wild daisies sprung from every corner, and strange sounds whispered about.
She and her brother would just... sit there. He would stare at his reflection in the water, and maybe touch the fish as they darted by.
Mabel would put a hand on his and sigh. She stayed with him however long he wanted to.
Sometimes, it was the whole night. She'd wake up finding him leaning on her shoulder, and at times a sisterly passion struck through her body.
She just wanted to hug him. Tell him everything is okay. Tell him one day, he'll find his girl.
Sometimes, he would stay only for five minutes. Then he'd stand up, and begin making his way back out.
And she'd follow him, only a few feet away, ready to spring out at anything that might attack him in this vulnerable state.
Today, he looked up from his pond. Mabel was surprised, but didn't say anything.
He looked into her eyes, a deep gratitude and sincerity in them.
"Hey sis, you wanna race back?"
Mabel felt like her heart would rip in two. She wanted to scream for a glittering moment.
Just the mere realization that he was talking again...
Mabel took his hands in hers and smiled slowly.
"Sure."
~No matter what happens, I promise I'll be there~
~And I'll help if you ever need me~
~And if you want us just to be quiet and sit here~
~I'll accompany you very gladly~
And... that's it people! Hopefully you enjoyed! I'll probably write more stories soon, and thanks to all of you who never gave up on me XD
Goodbye for now!
