Oswell E. Spencer's goal was to become god over the new world that is to come. But what's a god without his people? Umbrella's Project W was deemed a failure when only two subjects survived. Spencer needed more superior human beings for his new world. Thus, Project W evolved to Project Maximus, a project that aims for humanity reaching its full potential.

Prologue

"How are they?"

"It was difficult to get both of them into the pods, but because of that they are resting soundly."

"Good."

"Father, are you sure it's a good idea to send them to Umbrella?"

"No, which is why I changed my mind."

"Really?"

"Yes, I'll be keeping them underground until they wake up… And I want you to take care of them."

"Me?!"

"I hope that's alright with you."

"Hold on, if we're really turning our backs against Umbrella, they'll eliminate us both!"

"No they won't, I'll make sure of that."

"How?"

"You will sell me out to Umbrella. Because of that, they'll understand that your loyalties are with them no matter what."

"What about the boys?"

"Like I said, they remain here until they wake. I already set up two empty pods as a diversion from the real ones. Once they find out that they're empty, they'll suspect that I somehow got rid of them and will eliminate me next."

"Sacrificing yourself? Really father?"

"Eren, now is not the time for us to argue – "

"You dying is unnecessary!"

"Maybe for you but to them it is! Once you are branded traitor to Umbrella, they will not hesitate to take you down."

"Damn it…"

"Look at me Eren. I need you to be strong for them. In the near future, they are our only hope against Umbrella."

"They're different and you know it. What makes you think people will accept them for who they are?"

"We accepted them. Are we any different from our own kind?"

"There are 7 billion people out there Eren, at least 10% of them are assholes, while the chances of the other 90%, at least one of them should be able to accept them like we did."

BEEPING SOUNDS

"What's that?"

"Shit! They're here!"

"Calm down Eren. They couldn't have possibly known what we were planning."

"Then why the hell are they here?"

"Probably just a rain check."

"You mean hopefully."

"Dr. Eisenhardt, we are here to collect the two subjects."

"They aren't ready for another two weeks. I need to make sure that they're in healthy condition and that they are given the right dosage of the – "

"Our orders specifically said that we retrieve the subjects immediately no matter what, even if it means eliminating you and your son."

"… Eren… I will always believe that you'll make the right choice."

"…"

"Eren!"

"… Agent HUNK, my father has been planning on betraying Umbrella all along! He also plans to get rid of the two subjects we promised to deliver. Kill him."

"How ironic… Your only son, whom you have so much faith into, betrayed you when your life needs him the most."

BANG

"The subjects?"

"They're in the basement, inside two pods."

"Alpha team, secure the subjects."

BZZZT BZZZT

"Agent HUNK… Understood. Command wants me to take you to HQ for interrogation."

"Very well, all I ask is that that the subjects are not to be harmed."
