Clarke tapped her foot impatiently in line. She zipped her jacket up over her scrubs shivering from the freezing wind that blew into the coffee shop every time the door opened. The line looked was longer than she had ever seen before. Clarke was tired, she needed coffee. Badly.

She had been working double shifts at the hospital for the past week and she felt like a zombie. She was already in a bad mood because of her deprivation of sleep, but the wait of her caffeinated goodness extended made it worse. She opened her book about some teenagers going down to earth after 100 years and started to slowly make her way through the line.

After twenty minutes in line, Clarke finally made it to the counter. She looked up at the menu trying to decide what she wanted.

"We don't have all day now, princess." the man behind the counter said. Princess that was a strange nickname. She looked at him expecting him to be a pissed off prick, but instead, her eyes met a sweet, handsome, flirty smile.

Clarke's couldn't help as her lips turned into a smile. The first time she gave one that week. "I'll have a venti chai tea latte with three extra shots of espresso and whole milk."

The man picked up a large cup and started writing on it, more than they usually do. "Somebody looks very tired, is that a good book?" He commented looking at the book in her hands, she nodded. Of course she was tired. She had already worked forty hours this week and was suppose to work another 12 today. And the main character had the same name as her, so it was pretty cool.

"Can I get the princess's name?" he asked still looking at her with a flirty smirk. Something about his face made Clarke's mood lighten and her heart beat faster.

"Clarke." she said, "What's with the princess nickname?"

"It has a nice ring to it." he said with a wink. "Can I get you anything else, princess?" he teased.

"Yes, uhh a blueberry scone." she answered. She watched his muscular arms reach over and his coworker, who had strange goggles on his head, and grab one of the blueberry scones from the display counter. He then slipped it into a bag and wrote something else on it.

"Anything else you want?" he asked typing her order into the computer. She shook her head and put a ten dollar bill on the table. He gave her back the change and walked to the other side of the counter. As she waited for her coffee, she looked back over to where she ordered to get one last look at him. But he suddenly disappeared.

Suddenly, somebody tapped on her shoulder. When she turned around, he was standing there with her coffee and scone. "Here you go princess, have a great day." She smiled and thanked him, trying to hide the redness of her face.

She didn't notice the writing on her cup until she got on the subway. It said "Would love to see you again and hear about that book. Call me ;)" and a number scribbled on the bottom. She rolled her eyes and opened the bag with her scone in it. Before she could take the food out, she read the second message, "No seriously, call me. -Bellamy" and the same number written under.

Bellamy. She almost dropped her coffee when she read his name. She grabbed her book realized that his name was in the book also. The love interest of the main character, also named Clarke. She laughed and added the contact in her phone.

She now had something to look forward to during the next 13 hours of tough work.
