-Author's Note- Hey guys, here's my second story. I actually had this ready two weeks ago, but I left my laptop at my grandparents' house, so couldn't access it for a while, sorry! Anyway, this is an idea that I've had since I read J.K. Rowling's Epilogue, and finally wrote down. Hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: J.K. Rowling owns Harry Potter, not me.

"I'm sorry, Lyra, but I have to go." Scorpius said as he tried to avoid looking his 9-year-old sister in the eye.

"But I don't want to stay at Grandma Cissy's." Lyra pouted.

Scorpius sighed. It was difficult enough to stand firm with Lyra's black hair framing a not-so-innocent face and baby-blue eyes, but throw in the pouting, and he was wrapped around her finger.

"Fine," Scorp relented. "I won't be able to convince Mum and Dad to let you come with us, But I promise that I'll send you a letter tonight."

Lyra raised a skeptical eye-brow and folded her arms. "You'll remember to take a picture, too, right?"

Scorpius mock-glared at her. "Yes, I'll take pictures of the castle, inside and out." Prompted by Lyra's expectant expression, he dramatically raised his right hand and continued. "And any and all friends that I may or may not acquire in the time allotted."

Lyra nodded, satisfied with their previously written agreement. She then grinned fiendishly, dropping all pretenses of a heartbroken innocent. "At least I won't have you acting as my conscience, any more."

Scorpius winced, all too familiar with his sister's love of mischief. "Don't go too hard on the family while I'm gone, alright?"

Lyra assumed a thoughtful expression. " . . . . Maybe. As long as you actually get out of your shell while at Hogwarts." Lyra decided to quit teasing and surprised Scorp with a hug. "I'll miss you," She muttered into his shoulder.

Scorpius relaxed and hugged her back. "Me, too, Lyra." After a few moments, he held her at arm's length. "But hey, in a couple years, we'll both be at Hogwarts, and you-" He poked her nose with a grin. "will have the opportunity to terrorize every single witch or wizard with your Slytherin tendencies."

Lyra smiled, already imagining all of the mischief she would get into.

"Scorpius! You've been asking for "just another minute" for a quarter-hour! We have got to go, or you will be the only Malfoy to ever be merely ten minutes early!" Draco admonished his son as he entered the foyer.

Astoria took her husband's arm in an effort to calm him. "Honey, Lyra and Scorp won't see each other at all until Christmas Hols, give them a break." Astoria then turned to her children. "Finish up, please. I need to take Lyra to your grandparents soon."

With one last hug and muttered good-bye's, Lyra and Astoria took the Floo, and Draco turned to his son. "Are you ready for Hogwarts?" He asked, putting a hand on Scorpius's shoulder.

Taking a deep breath, Scorpius nodded, and they whirled away to King's Cross.
