The Morning Routine
So, I wrote this in like, ten minutes, out of no where. It jut kind of… wrote itself. Hope you like~
"What are these?" Maka asked Soul in irritated confusion, even though she knew exactly what the little squares were.
"Something for us to share." Soul replied in a sly, yet slightly anxious voice. He had bought them without Maka's approval. He prepared himself for the impact of a book spine, but instead she took the box that they came in and knocked it onto his head, shaking around the rest of its contents. Out flew a small plastic wrapper with something peculiar wrapped inside.
"Why did you buy these?" she interrogated him.
He gulped. This next line was going to have him running for cover. "I was wondering if we could make them a part of our morning routine…" he trailed off the end of the sentence as Maka's eyes lit in fury.
"M-maka… don't be so rash now. There's no need to get worked up over this!" he tried to defend his reasoning with mumbled explinations. He mentioned how he had heard about them from Black Star and Kidd, who said they were the most amazing thing in the world, and that he decided he really wanted to give them a try. They didn't even cost that much more then oridnary ones!
"Maka! Let's just try them first! Then we can see how much of a good deal it was or wasn't, okay?" he suggested.
She stopped her advance. Pulling a square out of the box, she looked at it inquisitively.
"Alright, we'll do it your way. She handed one to Soul, and pulled out another for her to examine."
She eyed it suspiciously, and then plopped it into her mouth with a skeptical glance in Soul's direction.
Her eyes lit up as the flavors of the cereal squares delighted her mouth with sugary sweet sensations.
"Oh my God." She looked dumbfounded. "These are amazing!"
Soul followed her actions and ate one himself. To his surprise, he found the taste to be nothing special. It was just ordinary breakfast cereal.
"Well, at least she likes them..." he muttered to himself, regretting his decision to buy the overpriced product on an impulse and almost risk a deadly Maka-chop.
His eyes wandered over to the plastic bag laying haphazardly on the tile floor.
"Hey, it came with a prize inside!" he exclaimed like an excited little boy!
Maybe the new cereal wasn't so bad afterall…
Did i get ya? I hope so... I figure you would all catch on soon, but not right away!
Hope ya liked it, or thought it was funny at least~
