Reflections

Takane looks at the mirror and she sees herself. Her unpleasant eyes, pale skin and red yet hazel eyes looking back at her. She looks at her reflection and gazes at her beautiful black hair which was tied into twin pigtails, something that had already been her trademark for the cycles that continued.

Faintly, her bored gaze turned into a small frown as she saw another version of herself. This time around, she can see the outline of the all-black clothes she wore, with faint yellow lines and a hot pink shirt underneath. Her always bored eyes kept by her bangs. She had a gas mask that dangled like a necklace and her earphones placed on her ears. With the sight, returned the memories. Of the days that she ran and ran, exhausted but persistent, only to know that at the finish line, her village was all but bombed, of knowing that they were but an experiment. She closed her eyes.

As she opened it, this time around, she was met by electric blue eyes that were hers the same time it was not. The reflection gave a cheerful yet hollow smile at her, faint marks of her cyber being shown in her cheeks. She never failed to notice that she-the blue girl-never had legs for some reason or another. But this girl in her reflection, which is essentially still her, have an aura of persistence, of hope, of knowing that whatever and how many times difficulties would happen, she would still persist.

A few seconds after, the reflection returned back to what it originally was. But then, all three of the reflection were all Takane. She had been the unpleasant high school student who spent sleepless nights on games, she had been the Actor who followed her own voice just to see that her town ended in a demise and left her all alone, she had been the bubbly Ene who was the one who helped pull some strings to rescue those in the Haze.

Takane always thought that she wasn't anything special, maybe a little out of the ordinary because of her online game prowess, but nothing too special. But as she look at her reflection and gaze at the girl in the mirror, she can see the scars, the difficulties, the experience. Having a reflection like that, maybe she was a little special, maybe she changed.

Because as she stopped looking and turned away to head to the others, just a few minutes before that, she saw her reflection gave a small smile at her.

A/N: This was actually pretty deep, lol. Even so, I think introspection is good every now and then? Oh and hello guys! I made a tumblr hehe for my otaku/fanfiction needs -pm or review your tumblr accounts so that we can follow each other yaaay! (And I'm on roll with KagePro, I swear)

Now that I think about it, while Takane and Haruka are obviously my faves, I might try to play around with the other characters :D (which I am doing on my free time loll)
