"I'll be right back Laura, I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." My babysitter explains quickly, running off to the park bathroom. I continue swinging on the swings, watching the sky as it darkens. I know it's been more than an hour since my babysitter left, and I'm starting to get nervous. Most of the families have left, and once the last person leaves, I go to the bathroom. "April?" I call, looking around. She doesn't answer. I check all the stalls, making sure if she wasn't in there. As I'm about to exit, I am greeted by a male stranger. "Hello, little girl." I scoot backward, "I'm not supposed to talk to strangers." "Well, we won't be strangers if you tell me your name." He smiles. "Laura." I say uneasily. "I'm Danny." He stretches his hand out to me. I bite my lip and start walking toward the door, only to be picked up and carried to a car. He throws me inside and laughs. He gets in as well and starts driving. Once I process what is going on, I start to cry silently. "Don't cry, I just want to play with you, that's all." Danny pats my head. "I wanna go home! Take me home!" I wail. "Now now, don't get to fussy. Or else you will get punished." He looks at me with a devious smirk. I hug my knees and wipe my tears on my small sweatshirt. "Mommy, daddy..." I whisper quietly. "We are here." Danny points ahead at a house. His house I assume. He stops the car. "Stay here." He commands. He locks the car and he walks inside the house. I start screaming, banging on the windows. I look around frantically for something sharp or hard. I spot a screwdriver and I pick it up. I bash it against the window until it finally creates a crack. I hit it again and it breaks the window completely. The alarm sounds and I jump out the window. I look back to see Danny charging toward me. I run through the street, not stopping until I trip. I land on my knee and I yelp in pain. I spot a neighbourhood nearby and I widen my eyes. I get up and limp to one of the nearby houses. As I'm about to reach a house, I get stopped by a hand. "Where do you think you're going?" Danny's malicious voice cackles. I look up and his hand is raised. He throws his hand back, and then swings toward my face.

"AHH!" I lurch upward, screaming. I look around, my room. I hold my head in my hands, crying. I suddenly hear my phone ringing. I pick it up, "yeah?" "Hey Laur, I just-are you crying?" Ross asks, concern etched in his voice. "...N-No." I sniffle. "I knew you were having night-terrors again. I'm going to your place right now. See you in a few minutes." He hangs up and I sigh. I look at the time, 10:04. I turn on my light and stare at my phone, trying to make my mind become blank.
