Min leaned against Kili's chest as the two soaked in the sunlight. Above them, the sky was freckled with puffy white clouds, and in front of them, a river swirled lazily downhill.
"You okay?" asked Kili, rubbing his nose next to her ear.
"Mmm," she replied, tilting her head back to nuzzle his neck, "Just thinking."
"About me, of course," he smirked, "I love days like this. When everything's perfect."
"Let's stay here forever?" Nori strolled by, winking at the two with a basket in his hand. "That's a little weird, Kee."
Out of nowhere, Bofur trundled by, as fast as his chubby legs could carry him, butt-naked and blocking the idyllic landscape and sky. "KILI!" screeched Min. Screaming, Kili knocked Min to the ground, shielding her eyes from Bofur's solar eclipse.
A few tense moments passed.
"Shhh, it was only a dream, the moon is gone," whispered Kili. She sat up.
"I think I'm gonna barf."
"Not on me, milady."
"Let's start over. I'm thinking about how beautiful the landscape and nature is, and the sun-"
"Not the moon," interjected Kili, grinning.
"You're revolting."
"But you love me."
"For now."
"Actually, I recall you saying something last night along the lines of, 'I'll love you forever, my dear Kili-poo munchkins.'"
"I recall you being very drunk last night."
"Aw, say you love me."
"I don't hate you as much as I hate Bofur right now."
"You love me! I knew it!"
"Mmm, that's debatable..."
"Don't lie to me," he replied, taking her chin in his hand.
"Of course I do, idiot!" she replied, laughing as she pushed him down on the grass, "I'll love you forever, my dear Kili-poo munchkins."
"Ah, I love you too, Min."
"Love you more, Kee."
