Anyway, this is based on Episode 12 of the anime. Rated for murder. Told in second person. All about Sekai.
"Sekai?" Makoto says, looking at his phone.
Very quietly, you step into the doorway.
Sorry.
Your grip on the kitchen knife in your hand tightens as Makoto reads the text message. The one you sent.
The one with a word you don't mean, a lot of empty space, and…
Goodbye.
Makoto turns around the moment you charge.
"I love you, Sekai."
He falls, clutching his stomach, blood staining his hands. You keep on going, going, going.
"You're despicable," you say before crouching over him and stabbing him again.
"Even if you're dating someone else…I love you!"
"Wanting happiness only for yourself, with Katsura-san!"
Again.
"You're all I have left."
And again.
The knife rips into his flesh over and over, and although you're yelling with rage and your mind is wild and you barely know what you're doing, there's a small part of your heart that's happy. Happy that everything is finally over, that all of this is over.
There's blood flying everywhere, and it's all over you by the time Makoto puts his hand on your stomach and croaks your name one last time.
"Sekai…"
It's like waking up.
Your eyes widen, and you stare at his face. Empty, with tears streaked across it, in a pool of blood on the bedroom floor. His skin ripped open by the knife in your hand.
"Sekai…"
With all his love bled out everywhere. Dead, like his promises. Like him.
"I love you."
In the kitchen, the tea boils.
You run.
At home, you change into a clean uniform and bury the bloodied one as far back in your closet as you can go. You throw the knife on top of it.
Crawling onto one corner of the bed, you open your phone and look at a picture of a beaming Makoto, making a victory sign and looking so happy.
What a fucking joke.
You hurl the phone away.
You know, I never actually liked Sekai. She's a terrible person who throws herself at her friend's boyfriend with no consideration for her friend's feelings. Read the manga and you will agree with me.
