Her gray eyes betray what her smile tries to hide..

He laughs at her silly innocence.
She grins despite the serious look on his face.
He holds her close when she sees the one who broke her.
She consoles him when he's had a crap ass day.
He is gentle with her, scared he'll break her.
She is patient knowing he is hurt and healing too
A kiss...so gentle.. so innocent.. so surprising.
He loves her like no other
She can't see her life without his smile.
Rage courses through him, as chaos breaks out around him. But thinking of her, her eyes makes him find peace.
She runs her fingers through his long hair, slowly, as he breathes in her scent, not perfume, but her. In that moment.
They know. This is love.
The day..

Their friends were there. Happy for them.
They kiss and the world around them melts away.

She shakes her head, feeling like giving up.
He growls and curses at the others in the bright lite room. He looks back to her.
Telling her it will be alright. That they have been through worse, that it will be worth it.
She smiles. Nods. He nods, even as he clenches his teeth as she cries for the last time.
Her eyes.. were hers. Her hair.. was his.
Orihime smiles tiredly. Sweat damp locks plastered around her face.
Renji smiles lovingly, seeing her this way. Never in his life thinking she looked more beautiful.
She looks down to the being in her arms.
He looks Orihime, seeing the nurse lay their child in her arms, and realizes motherhood has made her look even more beautiful.
Orihime and Renji then watch their daughter sleep against them.
He thinks:
