Chapter 1.
How had it gotten to this point, how had I totally lost the only other friend I seemed to find, first Alice and now Jacob was gone as well and it seemed that was my fault that they had left in the first place. Alice and her family along with HIM left because Jasper nearly killed me because of a papercut and now when I needed Jake the most he vanished into thin air. One minute we were watching a movie and then dissing Mike for having a weak stomach the next thing I knew Billy was telling us Jake had Mono and now he wasn't answering any of my calls. The nightmares started again soon after Jake disappear and now I was loosing my cool, I really needed my Jacob to make it all better. I resolved myself to go and see him tomorrow whether he was sick or not Billy would just have to deal with it. With a resolve made I slipped into an uneasy sleep, dreaming not for the first time of Edward and yellow glowing eyes.
I awoke to the suns rays streaming through my windows, it would be a great day and hopefully I would see Jake. No I knew I would see Jake today and I would find out what was going on and if he really did have Mono or if he just didn't want to be around me anymore. My heart gave a twinge of fear at the prospect of loosing Jake for good but that would be his decision and I would do my best to accept that if it was what he wanted. But I knew somewhere deep in my heart that it wasn't and today was the day I would find out for sure.
After getting dressed and having breakfast I jumped into my truck and headed towards the reservation. Pulling up on the gravel driveway I took in the beautiful view of the woods before hopping out of the truck. I bounced up the stairs and knocked on the door, Billy answered it and just looked up at me
"I need to speak with Jake"
"He's not here Bella" Billy answered
"I'm sorry Billy but I'm not taking no for an answer" I pushed past him and headed towards Jakes room.
I found him asleep on his bed one leg hanging off the small bed, his torso naked and staring at me, He had filled out and grown even hotter in the weeks since I had seen him last.
"Jake" I nudged him he grumbled but didn't wake, "JAKE" I practically shouted at him. His eyes flew open and locked onto mine and then his face relaxed and his eyes glazed over and it almost looked like he was staring through me rather than at me and then he howled.
