One Final Goodbye
Hi everyone!
Well, I'm back with more poetry! Unfortunately, this looks to be it for a while: I'm going to Scotland for two weeks, back a week to get my A-Level results, and then of the Wales, so there's a good chance nothing will get written.
On a brighter note, thank you to everyone that reviewed my last one-shot, and of cause much gratitude to –Fire-Arisa-Ice- for her tireless (not to mention quick!) beta-ing.
Well, the poem was written over the space of a few weeks (it didn't come easy, I tell you), and it was going to be a one-off, but since I finished it I keep on thinking of scenarios it could apply to, so I'm contemplating righting and actual story to go with it, but I'll wait to see what people think.
Place my hand upon the door,
I am leaving you once more,
Save your bitter fears for when I'm gone.
See
the clouds are pouring,
Your
silver tears are falling,
I
am sorry, but there's nothing to be done.
Your
sharpened words they cut,
And
it seems I've had enough,
As
I bleed and as I bruise and as I cry.
You
never say you love me,
And
I never seem to see,
Where
to find the strength to stay and try.
We
always seem to fight,
You
always go at night,
And
I never seem to see you in the day.
I
sometimes think you try,
But
you always make me cry,
Now
hope is not enough to make me stay.
You
grab me and you pull,
But
of this I've had my fill,
Nothing
in the world can make me wait.
You
say we'll try again,
But
there's nothing to attain,
Once
again you've left it far too late.
No
words can sway my heart,
I'm
going to depart,
To
every single question I say no.
So
you're left here on your own,
And
again you're all alone,
Your
tears: they're soft descending as I go.
So, what's peoples opinions? Should there be a story to go with it?
