There was a huge explosion in the coal mine. The Doctor and Harry rushed out. They were very frightened. It was extremely dark and the only light they had was from their small candles. Luckily they managed to escape safely.

"Do you know where Sarah-Jane is?" Asked Harry.
"I don't know where she is, but she will probably turn up," said the Doctor.
They both ran away from the mine. Just then there was a loud bang. The Doctor and Harry could tell that the explosion was over. They were both shaking and they both slowly walked to the mine. When they got back they realised that Sarah-Jane was not there.

The next day, the Doctor and Harry went down the coal mine to look for Sarah-Jane. It was very dark, so it was even harder to see. They both looked everywhere for Sarah-Jane but they could not find her anywhere.
"She is not anywhere we have checked the whole mine. We are better just giving up," said the Doctor.
"We can't just give up she still might be in here," said Harry.
"Well I'm not helping you, I am going away to get more coal," said the Doctor.
Maybe the Doctor is right thought Harry but Sarah-Jane still might be out there. He decided to look for Sarah-Jane and get more coal.

Harry got his cart and spade then went away to get some coal. He started to dig near a big rock. Harry dug around the rockthen he saw a big hole that had already been dug up. Then he realised that Sarah-Jane had been trapped by the big rock.
"Sarah-Jane are you alright?" Harry asked.
"I'm fine," stuttered Sarah-Jane.
"Where is your candle?" Harry asked.
"My candle went out," shivered Sarah-Jane. "It has been really dark and scary."
"Come on let's get out of here," said Harry. Harry helped Sarah-Jane climb out and then helped her get her cart and spade. Harry felt very proud of what he had done.
