Hand in Hand
The morning sun shines through your eyes
Beautiful and shimmering, full of life
Your spirit is lovely; that is the truth
Untarnished by the world, still shining bright
Many fear your presence in their hearts
For you bring their death, inevitable doom
And yet I only live to see your face
Every day I wait for that moment to come soon
Your hand, callused and warm
Yet so soft, encircles mine
Let us stay here, hand in hand
You and I, forever divine.
