Chapter One - The Walk to the Park.
The whole event started on an ordinary day.
Naruto had decided that he would take a break from his work as Hokage and take his young son, Boruto to the park. At almost 4 years old, Boruto was a very happy, energetic child and loved being outside, but something was different today.
Ordinarily, he'd be running ahead of his father or pestering him for a piggyback but today, he was oddly quiet. All he seemed to want to do was to walk beside his father, gripping his hand tightly.
"Boruto, shall we get Ice Cream?!" Naruto chirrped happily as he pointed towards the convenience store.
"No thank you..." Boruto mumbled quietly.
"You excited for the park?!"
"Yes."
As he looked down at his son, Naruto was puzzled as to why he was so quiet. He knelt beside his son and placed his hand on his tiny shoulder, lovingly.
"You okay, buddy?" he asked as he gave his shoulder a little rub.
Boruto's bottom lip begain to quivver as tears began welling up in his big, blue eyes. Not quite sure of what to do, Naruto scooped up his tiny son and cradled him softly in his arms.
"Hey...hey...come on, don't cry!" fretted Naruto as he rocked Boruto back and forth "I know! Shall we go see if Sarada-chan wants to come to the park too?"
Boruto looked up at his father with a slight shine in his eyes. Naruto knew that would do the trick. Though they were constantly bickering with each other, Sarada was Boruto's best friend and he knew that if she was there, Boruto would deffinatly perk up.
"Will Uncle Sasuke come too?" Boruto asked in a tiny yet hopeful voice
"Yeah, i'm sure he will" Naruto replied with a smile.
On that note, Naruto began making his way towards the Uchiha household with Boruto still cradled in his arms. His son's sudden strange behaviour did worry him, but he just put it down to Boruto being a little sleepy, he was always grumpy when he was tired. Surely it couldn't be anything serious.
