Arielle cried. The one year old girl inside her crib cried as fight went on around her, her village was under attack. Buildings were burning, other children were crying and everyone was fighting, trying their best to end each others lives. Arielle's whole family had been slaughtered, she had seen it with her innocent baby eyes. Her cold and unmoving eldest brother was only a few meters away from her. Chaos, utter chaos was surrounding her, making her cry like she never had done before.

Suddenly, she heard that voice inside of her talk no, roar, as the baby continued to cry. The wolf demon had enough of this mayhem.

I never want to see you cry again!

The demon activated her powers and suddenly the air in the room got colder, frost and ice grew around Arielle, traveling and covering everything around her. The weather outside became peculiar, snow started to pour down in as ice and frost started to crawl out of the room, the house to the streets and wrapped the warriors in frostbite.

My little cub, let me protect you.

And so, the world went black. When Arielle woke up, she were in the arms of a white haired man.

"Oi! Get the doctor, she has woken up!" A man said, her vision was blurry and she were very dizzy, but a tall, slender figure with white hair sat in a chair, holding her delicate. The white haired man had a mask and a headband over one of his eyes with an emblem she didn't recognise.

"You are in hidden leaf village little one, don't worry.. Everything will be okay" He said and smiled.

Kakashi still has nightmares of those days. Those couple of days that turned his whole world even more upside down than it already were. He remembers running through the cobblestone streets of a small town on the edge the earth land. A war between two clans had broken out and that unfortunate day the clans have had enough and decided to end it once and for all. The third Hokage had sent a small group of good men and women to sort the thing out and to keep the bloodbath to a minimum.

But still, when they got there. Fire and smoke rose into the air. It was a free for all on the streets and some took that advantage to wreak amok into people's homes as well.

He remembered fighting of several men from the two clans when he spotted her. The little baby inside a cold and empty house. He remembers how it had started to snow in the middle of the summer and how the streets became pure ice and frost. The baby's chakra was showing, a bright lavender flame surrounded her, protected her from any harm. He didn't know what to do, pure panic got the hold of him when he saw her crying alone. He had to get her out of there, so he did the only smart thing on his mind and ran up to her, over her dead family and grabbed her in his arms. He then ran outside once more and spotted his injured friends. He told them it was time to go. That that village was a lost cause.

As soon as he and his friends crossed the border the weather cleared, as they ran the girl's chakra was fading and the only thing you could hear was the fighting back at the village. Later on they got the news over how Kakashi was right, no one survived that battle. They were praised for their smart judgment to get out of there, no one seemed to care the hundreds of lives were lost that day.

"So what will you do with her?" His best friend, or rather afact brother Shikaku Nara asked when they sat in the small hospital room. Guarding the baby girl Kakashi had rescued.

"I don't know" Kakashi had said, he hadn't left the little girls side. Not once. They had asked for a cradle or a basket and watched over her until someone came to adopt her or send her off to an orphanage.

"Kakashi, I have a mission for you" The third Hokage said while coming into the room. Kakashi wrinkled his nose. No way that he would leave now, not until the girl's living arrangements were settled. No way he would let her live on the street.

"Don't worry my old friend, you won't leave her" The Hokage chuckled and patted the ninja on his back.

"What do you mean?" Shikaku asked, Kakashi had been very happy that he had agreed to stay with him to keep him company. His wife had a child just a week before the whole massacre village mission came around. A healthy baby boy.

"Kakashi, I give you the assignment to take care of this little girl. Raise her as if she is a real part of your family.. Do you accept?" The Hokage said, his face stern and voice very serious. But still smiled as he took up the baby in his arms. Kakashi looked at the girl, Arielle he would name her. After his mother. Just by looking at her he had the answer.

"I do"
