A Brother's Lullaby
AN- This is my approach at the deaths of Fili and Kili. This idea came from The Hunger Games and, since I have one for Boromir, and one for Norrington from Pirates of the Caribbean, I decided, why don't I do one for the Durin Brothers? The song used is called "Sleepsong" it's from "the Secret Garden". This is NOT a slash. Please read, review, and enjoy. (oh, and no flames please).

There were arrows embedded in him. His ears rang. His world spun. He could feel only pain. He was weak. So weak that he had to crawl. I must hang on! He said to himself, I must find my brother before it's too late. Finally, at last, he did, lying on his back. Fili dragged himself over until he could reach him. He was an awful sight, his dark hair was matted with blood and there were several arrows embedded in him. He bled from his mouth. He was fading.
"Kili!" Fili's weak voice called.
"F-F-Fili…" Kili replied with his own fading one.
"I'm here, I'm here." The blonde dwarf lay down above him and cradled his face, looking down at him. Kili's huge brown eyes stared up at him, making him look more innocent than ever, there were tears in them. Fili's own grew misty and filled with tears; his brother was too young to die.
"I want Mother." Kili said, "Where is she…" his voice began to panic.
Fili gently put a shaky finger on Kili's lips, "Shhh, shh, it's okay, it's okay. I'm here, Fili's here, it's okay."
"Sing me a lullaby…" Kili spoke softly.
Fili looked up at the setting sun and the rising moon, tears still falling, then he looked back down at Kili's eyes, then took a deep breath, and started to sing in a soft voice;
Loo-li, loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay
Loo-li, loo-li, loo-li, lai-lay
Lay down your head and I'll sing you a lullaby
Back to the years of loo-li lai-lay
And I'll sing you to sleep and I'll sing you tomorrow
Bless you with love for the road that you go

May you find kindness in all that you meet

Kili's eyes closed, and Fili's tears washed the blood away, Fili moved the hair out of Kili's eyes and arranged it neatly on his shoulders, then his head fell, his eyes closed, and he disappeared from all light.
