A/N: Woot woot, new story~ Alright, I have no clue why I started this. DERP. XP Anyways~ This chapter is all about Harry Truman, who is apparently famous for being the President in charge when the atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end the Pacific War (SOrta part of WWII). Yes, two. It took TWO ATOMIC bombs to be dropped on Japan for him to surrender. That's perseverance right there, if you ask me.

Pairings: AmePan, if you squint. Not intentional, I swear!

"So, Little Boy didn't work?" America said with a sigh, putting his face in his hands and giving a hollow smile. "Damn, Japan has some nasty endurance. What now?"

"Well," his boss said, rubbing his chin. "We did threaten 'prompt and utter destruction,' right? Why not bring out Fat Man?"

"Dude, are you serious?" America exclaimed. "But, that'll seriously destroy a lot!"

"That's the point, isn't it? 'Prompt and utter destruction'…"

"B-but, it's only been 3 days! They could change their minds!"

"They're Japanese, Alfred. If Germany has surrendered and not Japan, who knows when Japan's going to surrender?"

"But…I'm also really worried about how Kiku's holding up…"

"Alfred…it's for the best."

"Yeah…alright. Well then!" America exclaimed, jumping up as his whole deamenor changed. "Let's go bomb Japan again!"

Historical Facts:

Following a firebombing campaign that destroyed many Japanese cities, the Allies prepared for a costly invasion of Japan. The war in Europe ended when Nazi Germany signed its instrument of surrender on 8 May, but the Pacific War continued. Together with the United Kingdom and the Republic of China, the United States called for a surrender of Japan in the Potsdam Declaration on 26 July 1945, threatening Japan with "prompt and utter destruction". The Japanese government ignored this ultimatum, and two nuclear weapons developed by the Manhattan Project were deployed. Little Boy was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on 6 August 1945, followed by the Fat Man over Nagasaki on 9 August.

On 15 August, six days after the bombing of Nagasaki, Japan announced its surrender to the Allies, signing the Instrument of Surrender on 2 September, officially ending World War II. The bombings led, in part, to post-war Japan's adopting Three Non-Nuclear Principles, forbidding the nation from nuclear armament. The role of the bombings in Japan's surrender and their ethical justification are still debated.

Needless to say, it did a hell of a lot of damage.

These two atomic bombings are the only use of nuclear weapons in war to date.
