Jo stood between the two fuming scientists trying to understand what exactly was going on over their shouting voices and the alarms going off and the sprinklers getting everyone and everything wet.
"I can't believe you did that! How could you be so stupid?" Dr Marie screamed at her lab assistant.
"Me stupid? You're the one that left them out for me! I was only doing what you told me!" Fran Drake hollered back.
"I most certainly did not tell you to mix those two chemicals. It's basic high school chemistry! You do not under any circumstances mix scandium and zinc!"
"How was I supposed to know what you put out? All you said was mix the two to the left of the Bunsen burner!"
"My left!"
"Alright!" Jo yelled at the top of her lungs "That is enough!"
The alarms abruptly shut off and the sprinklers died to a slight trickle until they too stopped.
"I don't really care what happened here just so long as no one is hurt. Is anyone hurt?"
Both scientists shook their heads no. "Good! Now go clean yourselves off and report to Roberts and give him you're sides of the story."
Jo turned around and stormed down the hall, brushing a lock of wet hair out of her eyes.
'Oh great!' Jo thought as she spotted Zane coming towards her. This would be the first time seeing him alone after the whole space fiasco. But much to her surprise Zane said nothing. He just caught her eye and gave her a sincere look and a soft smile before continuing on his way. It weirded Jo out. Here was a perfect opportunity to make som lewd or snarky comment and all he does is look at her? Something was very wrong. What exactly did Fargo tell Zane while they were up there? What kind of stories did they bond over?
Jo was not happy thinking about what could have possibly passed the directors lips at the thought of imminent death. She would have to go track him down and make him tell her exactly what he told Zane.
But first…dry clothes.
AN: I don't know if you guys saw the sneak preview for next weeks episode when Jo confronts Fargo about what they talked about in space but this is a quick scene between the ending of the premier and the beginning of the next episode.
