Willa's P.O.V.

I was getting my pounds of books from my locker after a treacherously long school day, when I noticed that there was a note, hastily taped in the back of my locker by someone. After I packed up my thousand homework assignments and books, I realized that it was time to leave for my bus. I snatched the note out of my locker and sprinted to the bus. When I found a seat and caught my breath, I opened the note to find that it was written by Philby, one of my good friends and fellow Kingdom Keepers.

As I read the note, I felt a smile slowly spread across my face. It said that we were going to cross over tonight. He had also asked to come over to my house for help with the math homework and study for a test around 4:00. Crossing over was a rarity these days, and I was really excited about him coming over for the study date. As the bus neared my stop, I grabbed the novel I was reading, which was currently The Fault In Our Stars , from beside me. Yeah, I sit with my book. I'm just cool like that. I got off at my stop and walked down the lane to my house. My mom would be home late from work, and my brothers had begged and relentlessly pestered my mom to go over to their friends house after school, so I was home alone. Another thing that was making this the best day ever.

Philby's P.O.V

I was so nervous about going over to Willa's to study for our upcoming math test and doing homework. To add to my anxiety, we were crossing over tonight. It was 3:00, so I told my mom I was walking over to a friends house to study, and that I would be back by 6:00. When I was walking to her house, she called me and asked if I was ok studying at her house, or if I wanted to go someplace like Starbucks. I told her that I was ok with studying at her house, and then I started thinking about Willa. She was so thoughtful and kind. I don't know anyone else as sweet and helpful as her. I proceeded to mentally chide myself for thinking like that.

In addition to the upcoming math test, I also had to finish the book The Fault In Our Stars by tomorrow for a big discussion we were going to have in English class. To me, The Fault In Our Stars is a sad but very good book. When I got to Willa's house, I asked her what she thought about The Fault In Our Stars, since she had to read it for English too, and then we studied for the math test. After we finished studying, we talked a little more about what we were reading, and then I had to walk all the way back home. Studying with Willa was worth the walk home though.

I really enjoyed studying with Philby, but we had talked about The Fault In Our Stars, and it left me thinking, why did Gus have to die? I was quite depressed
and confused when I thought about this question.

Thank you all so much for reading this, and please tell me how I can improve. You can also give suggestions as to what happens in the story, if you want. :)
