SCP-7223

Chapter 1

Welcome to Beacon

Item #: SCP-7223 (Jaune Arc)

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7223 is to be referred as Jaune Arc. Jaune is allowed to reside at the Arc Manor and is to be feed three times a day and treated like a normal kid. He is allowed to make friends as long as he doesn't reveal his true nature. All personnel is allowed to visit Jaune whenever they aren't on duties or are on vacation. Jaune is to be interviewed and tested once a month.

Description: Jaune is a blond male, around 6'1(As of date), with pale white skin, and blue eyes. He is the son of Doctors; Joseph Arc and Kelly Arc. Jaune is a Human-Faunus hybrid, giving him the traditional night vision and heightened hearing and smelling. Jaune lacks any animal characteristics.

Jaune is best described as loyal, brave, and caring. He exhibits traits that have labeled him, and I quote:

(" His like a giant huggable teddy bear. His just a lovable goofball. – Dr. Bright.) Jaune can be impulsive and irrational, when it comes to the lives of his family and friends. Jaune has and will try to solve any problem and if he were to fail, he will blame himself. (See the Jabberwocky Event. He still blames himself for it.)

Jaune possesses the ability to emit pheromones that can make people happy and also gives them courage. (Similar to SCP-999) Jaune also possesses a blue flame that burns like a regular flame but can also freeze whomever touches it. He is also able to move incredibly fast and jump very high. Jaune is able to create a pocket dimension, where he can put whatever he feels like, this includes inanimate objects, living beings, and even other SCPs. Jaune is also immune SCP-049 and SCP 963, among others. Jaune also has a different personality. (See SCP-7223-1)

Jaune is extremally loyal to the Foundation. Jaune seems to possess a telepathic ability, allowing him to communicate with SCPs that otherwise can't talk. Jaune has become friends with varies SCPs, examples include: SCPs-343, 999, 208, 507, 2800, 346, 403, and surprisingly SCP 682, among others.

Jaune is a brilliant young man, who is testing himself to learn what may have caused his anomalistic properties. Some theories have been thrown around but the one Jaune came up with is the most accepted.

Theory: Since Jaune's parents worked with reality bending SCPs, it is theorized that one of this SCPs may have affected Jaune while in his mother's womb. Upon further testing, it was reveal that Kelly was not affected nor were her following children. (This theory is not concrete but makes a gram of sense.)

A man with bright orange hair and similar eyes could be seen walking toward a bullhead with a tall and handsome blond carrying a duffle bag. They arrived at a landing station, the older looking man turned to his friend.

"You don't have to do this, ya know." The ginger said. Jaune just smiled sadly and put his hand on the man's shoulder.

"O-5 approved. You and me both know why I have to do this. Watt's risking his life within the Dark Inner Circle. We are on the dark when it comes to Ozpin's Inner Circle. Someone needs to keep an eye on the wizard, wouldn't you agreed Bright?" Jaune smiled as he concluded. Bright sighed in defeat, knowing that when it came to Ozpin and his little Inner Circle, the Foundation was in the dark. A much older agent could've done the trick but a student? It would take a long time for Ozpin to trust them, let alone let them into the Inner Circle. A student had less of a chance but the student was not only the son of a respected family but was also an anomaly that could bend reality to his will. But Jack Bright would not go down without a fight.

"It's going to very lonely, very quick. Who's going to watch over my shenanigans? Who's going to help me set up those shenanigans? What will 999 think." Bright said striking several dramatic poses with each question. Jaune looked at the ground, his confidence almost breaking when 999 was mentioned. But he wouldn't break, he would endure.

"Sorry Bright, but making me take a tour of guilt lane won't do the trick." Jaune smirked.

Bright crossed his arms and pouted like a seven year old would. He would miss him, all of them. Clef, Kondraki, Crow, Gears, Glass, his family, and even the SCPs his befriended. The bullhead could be seen on the horizon. It was time for him to leave. He turned to his colleague and friend for a final goodbye. Only to be engulfed in a hug. Bystanders and aspiring students passed by them and were moved by their actions. Some males smiled sadly whilst the female population around them smiled and wiped a tear or two. No words were spoken during the hug, but the message was clear.

'Stay safe.'

Bright and Jaune parted and went their separate ways with misty eyes. Jaune had already taken a pill to control his motion sickness. It was time for him to infiltrate Beacon. He can only hope he doesn't run into any SCPs or one of the Foundation's Group of Interest.

The ride had been calm to say the least. Jaune was currently going over his stuff to make sure Bright wouldn't come rushing in with whatever was left behind.

Spare clothes, a combat outfit, his range weapon, extra ammo, Crocea Mors, and... a framed picture of his family and his family within the Foundation. They, of course weren't wearing the Foundation logo on their outfits. To everyone else, they looked like a family of doctors and scientist. To Jaune they looked like people who worked from the dark to protect the light. Just like Ozpin. Jaune closed up his duffle bag and begun trying to look for anything to keep himself busy. He looked at the to-be-students, the view, listened in on conversations, and did whatever didn't kill him from boredom. His landed on a black haired girl wearing a bow on her head. It didn't take a genius to guess that she was a Faunus. But it is her problem, not his. She has to have a good reason to be hiding her heritage.

Jaune shuddered, remembering the time he had to work with 953. She was hostile to humans and faunus but not towards him. She considered him a SCP, not a human, not a faunus, one of them. Jaune shuddered again, thankfully he survived all the flirting and seduction.

Jaune saw that a hologram of Glynda Goodwitch was being projected. She seem to be talking about peace. Jaune chuckled dryly, knowing full well that peace can never be achieved. Humans and Faunus will always hate each other, the Kingdoms will never trust each other, Ozpin and Salem will keep up their little lovers quarrel, and new SCPs will always pop up. Peace can never be achieved. Jaune started to drone out the all the noise around him. He started to plain old meditate, he really needed it. Soon, the bullhead landed and everyone started to get off. Jaune stepped out and looked at the building known as Beacon. He only had one thought.

'It looks much better on the photos.'

Jaune started to walk towards the building before an explosion went off. Jaune looked towards were the explosion rang out. He saw a white haired girl yelling at a black and red haired girl. He also saw the same Faunus in hiding walk up to the duo and must have said something to the white haired girl because she stormed off. The bow wearing Faunus left before little red riding hood could say thanks. Jaune watched as the crimsonette slumped on the floor and stayed there.

Jaune decided to help her since she could really use the help. Jaune approached the sadden crimsonette and hovered over her.

"Hey there, I'm Jaune." Jaune said while extending his hand for the down girl. Jaune noticed that she had silver eyes. The silver eyed girl looked at the hand for a moment before grabbing it and lifting herself up.

"Ruby." She simply said. Jaune smiled and started walking off. Ruby joined him at his side and an awkward silence soon fell over them. Well, it was awkward for Ruby, not for Jaune.

"So... I got this thing." She processed to take out a giant scythe from her back. She expected Jaune to be surprised but he looked unfazed.

"A scythe and a sniper rifle, nice." Jaune complemented. Ruby beamed at the complement. No one had ever figured out the second function of her beautiful baby.

"So what do you have?" Ruby asked making Jaune chuckle a little. Jaune drew Crocea Mors and expanded the sheath into its shield mode.

"I got this heirloom. It's just a shield and sword combo. There nothing special about them. I also have another weapon but I can't show you." Jaune said. Ruby pouted but otherwise stayed silent before a thought hit her.

"Hey, why did you help me back there." Ruby questioned. Jaune replied almost immediately.

"You seem to be having a hard time, so decided to help. Plus, my mother always said 'stranger are just friends you haven't met yet' and I has worked like a charm." Jaune replied with a his trademark smile. Ruby blushed a little, not enough for Jaune to take notice.

"Do you know where we're going?" Ruby nervously asked Jaune.

"I think I saw some student going this way." Jaune and Ruby continued walking in a more comfortable. Jaune and Ruby reached a small area were a mass of students had formed. A voice spoke from the crowd.

"Ruby! I saved you a spot." A girl with blond hair and lilac called out. Ruby apologized to Jaune and left to join her sister. Jaune didn't mind and simply smiled and walked off, a pair of curios green eyes followed him. Soon, Jaune stood there waiting for the headmaster to come and say whatever he need to say. Until he heard and saw someone call him 'tall, blond, and scraggly'. Before Jaune could metaphorically commit first degree murder, the wizard came onto stage.

"l...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." Ozpin's eyes lingered on Jaune. Many people took notice and started to whisper. The Foundation has, shall we call it a public face. This public face is so that people don't become too suspicious of the Foundation. The Foundation of Science, very creative on the O-5s, is run by Jaune's parents. So, seeing an Arc become a Huntsmen is very... weird. The Arcs of this generation have been scientist or doctors, but that's what the Foundation wants them think. Ms. Goodwitch came up to stage next.

"You will gather at the ballroom tonight. Your initiation will begin tomorrow." Then, she walked off and many students left to either explore a little of Beacon or directly to the ballroom. Jaune went off to the lockers to store all of his stuff and to call Bright. He can feel all the messages and missed calls piling up on his scroll.

Night had fallen and people were changing into their nightwear. After convincing Bright not to send a whole mobile task force, Jaune was ready to just collapse on his bedroll and sleep until a Ganymede Protocol. Jaune was changing in the males locker room, were many were making jokes, flexing, or talking about girls they found pretty. Jaune took off his shirt and everything went quiet. Ugly scars riddled Jaune's body, from slash marks, bullets holes, and much more littered the blonds body. Jaune ignored the stares and put on a black t-shirt. He walked out of the changing room and into the ballroom.

Jaune went leaned on the nearest wall and closed his eyes. Tomorrow would determine whether or not he would be getting keter duty. Jaune was about to drift to sleep when he heard a commotion coming from his left side. Jaune opened his and saw the same bow wearing Faunus, Ruby's sister, Ruby, and now that he got a good look at her face, it looked like Weiss Schnee. He looked around and saw some people covering their ears while trying to sleep or just plainly looked annoyed. Jaune, for the sake of everyone's sleep, decided to put a stop to it.

"Girls, people are trying to sleep." His plea fell to deaf ears. So, he tried again, and again and again. Jaune was about ready to stick 682 on them but resigned from doing that...yet. A lightbulb lit up and Jaune got an idea when he saw a small candle at the side of the black haired chick. Jaune smiled evilly. Jaune lifted his hand and suddenly the candles flame went from bright orange to blue. The blue flame was burning high, to the point the ceiling was getting scorched. The temperature in the room drop dramatically. The four girls turned towards the source that caused the blue flame. Jaune dropped his hand and sighed tiredly.

"Please girls, some of us are try to sleep." Jaune gestured to the entire ballroom that had been watching. The Schnee and Ruby blushed in embarrassment, Ruby's sister didn't look remotely shamed, and the Faunus mouthed a small thank you. He smiled and started to nod off. Tomorrow would be a long day.
