The Prettiest Things Die Quickest
I sit alone
I wait for no one
I have nothing to gain
And everything is already lost
I bother because I can
I live to pain others
I am what's lost in you
The deepest
Darkest
Recesses of your brain
Echo in me
Your soul is dissected before me and I will vomit you out.
Watch me watch you fail.
Sink
Flounder
Gasp
I exist to mourn the loss of what I was
I am what you can't let yourself become
I will steal your dying breath
See me come?
Know your limits
Live in anxiety
Squander what you have left
Life is an adrenaline rush
Do you feel me?
My breath is on the back of your neck
I am what makes you cry
I am what makes you die
slow
Do you feel me?
I'm standing behind you now
I hold your throat in my hands
Your blood is seeping
Dripping
Down my fingers, under my nails, into my benediction
Pretty hopeful things get under my skin
Do you feel me?
Vindication
Life is an adrenaline rush...

A/N:sigh: okay, i don't usually do poems but I felt like it. AsI have no official training in the art of poetry, you can definitely mention any possible improvements I can make. I originally had a much better format and it was a lot creeper (yes, that is the term I wanted to use.)I wanted to get across the disjointed nature of Naraku's thoughts because, in my mind, the guy is completely nuts. People with no mental cohesive thought process think really differently then normal people do. I worked in an internship by a mental ward- they're scary and have a totally different cognitive pattern then other people. Trust me.
Well, I hope you enjoyed it. I personally like it a lot. Review with suggestions and critique is, as always, welcome! Thanks for reading!
