Lelouch looked up from where he had buried his head in his arms to see his green-haired witch enter his room, singing softly.
She took one look at him and glided over to where he sat on his bed, putting her arms around him without missing a beat.
"I could offer you a warm embrace

"CC-" he started to say, but he was silenced by the look on CC's face. Keep quiet and let me finish my song, it said.
"When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one there to dry your tears"
She pulled back slightly from her embrace to wipe away the wet streaks on his face.
"I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love"
She had climbed up onto the bed by now, and was pulling him to herself. He did not resist - he was probably too exhausted to do so - and they lay down facing each other.
"I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong"
She snuggled closer to him, wrapping him in her arms once more and burying her face in his chest.
"I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue
I'd go crawling down the avenue
No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do

Lelouch was starting to relax by now, and soon returned her embrace. She moved one hand away from its position on his back to stroke his hair.
"The storms are raging on the rolling sea
And on the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
You ain't seen nothing like me yet"
She looked up, touched his face and held it in place so that she could look into his eyes.
"I could make you happy, make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn't do

The song being finished, she looked down and closed her eyes, suddenly afraid of how he would react to how he would react to what she had just done.
Smiling, Lelouch bent down to plant a soft kiss in her hair. Her eyes flew open, startled. For a heart-stopping moment, amber eyes stared at amethyst ones, the owners of both struggling to come to terms with what just happened. In the end, Lelouch gave in and broke the silence.
"Thank you, CC."
"It was nothing," she said, her voice resuming its indifferent tone. "Now go back to sleep," she ordered, turning her back on him.
But she smiled and blushed in spite of herself when he enveloped her in his arms and pulled her closer to him.
"I mean it, CC. Thank you for everything," he whispered in her ear, making her shiver.
"Whatever. I'm only ensuring that you'll fulfill your end of the contract." Even if I know you wouldn't be able to, after all...
"Of course," he said, chuckling as he turned her to face him again. "And I love you, too, you know."
He kissed her gently once more, this time on her lips, and quite expectedly, she kissed him back. It was a chaste, rather brief kiss, but it was enough, and they fell asleep in each other's arms after.

A/N: Yep, I know they're OOC. Given the setting though, as it's near the end of R2, when emotions are running wild, I'd say it's okay. I don't really care, anyway – what are fanfics for if you can't bend things to your liking? *smirk*
