A small drabble based on a real life situation, fluff. Don't ask me why I'm writing this in the middle of night. I have no clue.
It was a just a normal outing of the four friends. Like always, some attempts of matchmaking were made (courtesy of Alya, mostly) ending in the usual, stutters from Marinette. Adrien didn't mimd really, but that didn't stop him from being curious at his classmate's behaviour. They all grabbed a seat, and say down, deciding on their orders while joking and chatting with one other.
"I'll go with a caramel Latte, what about you guys?" Alya had asked casually, getting up to order.
"Hmm, I'll have a Mocha. I'll come with you actually." Nino had almost instantly answered, getting up as well.
"I'll have a normal frappe." Marinette had almost whispered to Alya.
"Dude…Adrien?" Nino shook him out of his thoughts. He came back to his surroundings, observing Alya chatting animatedly to Marinette. He suddenly remembered about the order, sheepishly murmuring his order to Nino, who just had a knowing grin on his face, who knew all too well about his daydreaming habits.
All fell into silence when Alya and Nino left to order, leaving a flustered Marinette and a awkward Adrien sitting there.
"Okay. So that will be one caramel latte, one Mocha, one frappe and…" Alya's gaze shifted to Nino, silently asking him Adrien's order, which she had not payed attention to.
"What's Marinette having then?" He had asked suddenly. At first, she had a slight frown, that quickly turned in to a smirk.
"A frappe"
"My dude's having the same." He replied simply.
"So…" Nino's smile turned suddenly mischevious.
"Do we order one...Or two?"
"Well, I don't know, Mari wouldn't mind sharing with Adrien, my girl's got a selfless heart." Alya had stated with a tone that meant "We should totally do this!"
"Well, I don't know about a selfless heart, but her heart condition will be a bit dangerous if you order one. So, I guess we should settle for two"
"For now, at least" he added, winking at her. They casually glanced at the oblivious dorks, that they called their best friends.
"Hmm. I guess you're right, for once." She huffed dramatically.
" Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"He replied back, acting offended.
Alya ignored him, proceeded to order, after all their bickering. She had spared a glance at their Barista during their conversation, only to find the guy silently chuckling to himself at their antics, this making her mood better.
They had brought the drinks safe and sound to their table and plopped down again, sharing a secretive glance and smiling at their earlier idea once more, before delving into the various conversations throughout the evening.
