Tell me what the rain knows…

O are these the Tears of Ages?

That wash away the Wolf's Way…

And leave not a trace of the day?

They came that night…

The humans.

The killers…

Tell me what the rain knows

O is this the flood of fortune

That pours itself upon me?

Fear gripped him suddenly

O see how I drown in this sea…

He continued to run on,

Unexpectedly separated from his pack…

Hark, hear the howl that eats the moon alive!

The gunshots erupted around him.

Your fur is on fire…

He felt them enter his body,

Barely missing his vitals…

He ran, abandoning his friends…

The smoke turns the whole sky raven black!

And the world upon your back will crack…

He suddenly found himself confronted by the leader.

The rage in the alpha's eyes was apparent…

With a mighty clash of fangs,

Tsume was thrown off the cliff,

Blood trailing from his new 'X' shaped wound…

Where will you go?

Now you've no home?

Let the rain wash away your last days…

He lay helplessly in the snow,

The life draining from him.

And floated away…

Perhaps to Paradise…

He awoke hours later, his chest encased in blood. Trembling, he stood up, and staggered back to his old den site, just to survey the damage and to see if there were any survivors. The bodies lay before him, crumpled heaps of flesh that had once been his family. He turned, sickened, away from the sight. He suddenly caught a scent in the wind. Lunar flowers… He stumbled onward, towards the dome he knew the source of the scent was held… For once, relying wholly on his own faith, and not that of the now-dead pack. He began his slow and painful journey. He recalled the Elders once saying something about a place called Paradise…

A/N:

Disclaimer: I own nothing. As far as I know, "Tell me what the rain knows" is owned by Yoko Kanno(Who, in my opinion, is the God of all music)

I wasn't exactly happy with the way this turned out... but I was trying to write a charactor-poem-song fic with someone other than Kiba... For me, that proved to be a bit difficult, because it was hard to match Tsume's personality with a song. O.o Umyay. So... yeah. The reason I did "Tell me what the rain knows" was because, 1. People asked for it, and 2. My AIM psycho-pals had alot to do with it. o.o
