Chapter 1. You have my heart

Oliver knew he didn't fancy girls at the tender age of 12 when he saw petite Cedric Diggory walk up to the sorting hat. Oliver was sat at the Gryffindor Table praying that Cedric would be sorted into Gryffindor. To Oliver's dismay Cedric was sorted into Hufflepuff. Oliver watched Cedric walk to the Hufflepuff table and sit down. Cedric turned around as he felt someone watching him. He turned to see Oliver staring at him. Their eyes locked for what seemed hours lasted but a few seconds.

Cedric shook his head to knock some sense into himself. Why did he feel so drawn to this Gryffindor boy? What was making him so fuzzy inside? Was it the Gryffindor boy?

A few weeks later Oliver was walking out to the Quiditch pitch to practice for the try outs which were in a few days. He kicked off and started flying round the pitch. He still had the Hufflepuff boy, Cedric in his mind. He knew why this young boy plagued his thoughts. Though this 11 year old boy might not know it Oliver had given his heart to him.

Cedric was sat in the stalls watching Oliver in awe. Oliver looked down and noticed someone sat in the stalls, it was Cedric. He flew down and landed on the pitch and ran up to Cedric.

Cedric was rather embarrassed about watching Oliver as he felt he had invaded Oliver's privacy.

"I'm ever so sorry, you just fly so well I...er..." Cedric trailed off.

"Thanks" Oliver blushed. "You a fan of Quiditch then?"

"Oh yes! I went to see the Quiditch World Cup last year with my dad in Ireland"

"Really? Was it good? "Asked Oliver.

"Yes it was the first Quidtich match I'd been to!" Expressed Cedric excitedly.

"Well I better get going Cedric" announced Oliver.

"How do you know my name?" asked Cedric, who was looking rather puzzled.

Oliver smiled. My he does look rather cute when he's confused Oliver mused.

"At the sorting a month ago"

"Oh of course" Whispered Cedric Sheepishly.

Oliver walked off towards the steps. Cedric caught up with him.

"My names Oliver by the way, Oliver Wood."

With that Oliver walked back to the pitch, collected his broom and disappeared into the castle.

Cedric sunk down into one of the seats. Why do I feel so safe with Oliver? I barely know him and yet I yearn to be close to him. I must be going mad!

As the months went by the two boys got closer. Their friendship blosomed. Cedric was still baffled by his want to be close to Oliver. Oliver still knew that no one else would ever be able to take his heart away from Cedric even if Cedric didn't want it. Though to Oliver Cedric seemed more than keen to be his best friend. Oliver often pondered whether his feelings for Cedric were just a crush and that he and Cedric would just be friends or if it were serious and their relationship would grow as they grew up.

So what do you think? Should I carry on with it? I know this first chapter is kinda short but I felt what I'm writing next didn't fit in this chapter.

I'll update later today or tomorrow.
