Return of the Daily Weird Prompt Thing (Hufflepuff is a stoner house)

He really should have known. Their symbol was a badger. They had singing cactuses in the common room. Cactuses that sang crude and inappropriate songs. They were right down the hall from the kitchen – often the Puffs would get the wrong directions and end up sleeping in the kitchens. Everything was yellow and circles, and there wasn't a straight line anywhere.
And their name was Hufflepuff. That should have given it away.
As it was, Cedric didn't put together all the pieces until the puff of smoke actually hit him in the entrance. The group of upper year Hufflepuff's was just sitting there, upside down on the couch, the smoke billowing off them in waves. The source of the smoke was the little rolls of something white they held in their hands. The windows were open in order to let the smoke release. The group was laughing, trying to knock the other off the couch.
The little Cedric didn't realize what was going on at the time. It would take him a few years.
It wasn't like all the Puffs were doing it. In fact, there was a strict code to not slip any of the Herbology Assignments to the younger members of the house. It was a safety thing.
So come the first day of his sixth year, Cedric, as well as the other sixth years, were dragged out of the incoming students and shoved into a side room.
"Alright chaps," one of the seventh years, Jason, said, waving the two others with him closer. "Next year, you'll be the lead here. So we're going to let you in on a little secret."
"A secret?" The boy next to Cedric, Roy, chuckled. "Like we don't already know."
"Quite, Roy," Jason said. He brought forth the box containing the thin white rolls Cedric had seen so often before with his housemates. "As I was saying, we have a surprise and a secret to share with you lot. These, are the Herbology Assignments you all have probably heard so much about. Now that you are entering into your final stretch, we offer them to you."
Cedric was the one to take the box when it was handed out. Most of the sixth years crowded around for a better look.
"Where do you get this?" A girl behind him asked.
"That secret will be given to you at the end of the year. For now, we have to make sure you can be trusted with this."
"Don't worry," Roy smiled, "secret is safe here."
"Good," Jason nodded. "Now remember, we don't hand out to the younger kids."
That was it for the speech. They left after that. Cedric figured the seventh year group had already hit the rolls and were heading to the kitchen for another round of dinner. Either way, Cedric looked at the rolls, debating about rather or not he would really partake in this stoner Hufflepuff run. He pasted the rolls to the side, sure he wouldn't touch them.
He would spend the majority of seventh year high.
