Bombs. The sound of them being dropped on the city echoed loudly through out the small bunker. There was no talking between Lien and Alfred as they let the sound of bombs destroying everything fill the silence.

Kiku showed no mercy.

Lien let out a shaky sigh as she tried to catch her breath, trying to calm herself. The pain was starting to become overwhelming along with the silence. Lien the person who represented Vietnam and Alfred the person who represented the United States of America sat in a small cramped bunker, waiting for the rain of bombs to end. Lien sniffed slightly and let out a little sigh as she paced back and forth anxiously. Alfred watched the female pacing back and forth in front of him with a concerned look. They both had their own thoughts to surround themselves in, this unhealthy thing called war was everywhere now.

By the second Lien's composure decreased more and more. A new sound filled the small bunker. It was the sound of hysterical crying. Lien was sobbing and she was sobbing hard. Her thoughts were on her brother Kiku, who represented Japan. Her own brother was invading and bombing her and although she had seen many wars and had fought many other people who were important too her, she couldn't help but cry.

The sound of crying startled the male and at first he wasn't sure what to do or say to the crying female. He walked over to the female and gently pulled her into a hug. Her cries were almost louder then the sound of the bombs being dropped on the capital. It pained Alfred to see her crying but in truth he didn't think she was capable of showing such intense emotion, even though he hadn't known her very long he had never seen her crack she had always been so calm and collected.

He whispered small phrases of comfort along the lines of 'it's okay.' and 'it will be over soon.' as he tried too calm her down. He slowly pulled them both to the ground so that they we sitting on the floor. Lien muttered apologies in Vietnamese but Alfred just continued to hold on too her. To admit he liked the feeling of her being close so they remained that way for quiet some time. Lien had eventually calmed herself and by the end of the bombing she had fallen asleep cuddling into Alfred.

And that is how their love story begins.
