Her eyes flickered rapidly behind her closed lids and then opened slowly only to be blinded by a harsh light, as they started to focus she became aware of the figures surrounding her, men and women in stark white clothing shuffling around the room and speaking in clipped tones. She began to panic, her limbs fighting desperately at the restraints that held her to a cold hard surface, her head jerking and throat burning as she tried to release the scream trapped in her lungs only for it to be muffled by the strap across her mouth.
Tears began to spill from her eyes as her movements became more frantic, a cold hand brushed her cheek and she flinched as if the touch had burned her, the man loomed over her as she lay helpless and hushed her softly as he wiped the wetness away from her skin. Her whole body jerked when she felt a sharp pain in her arm and the area throbbed as a needle was secured against her skin, her eyes began to feel heavy as whatever they had injected entered her bloodstream and the voices around her faded into nothing, but not before he spoke.
"Don't worry child, we will make you better."
