"I just want to cry," Naruto said to me one day.
I couldn't find my voice at firs as I looked down at his battered body.
"Does it hurt?" I asked voice weak.
"No…I'm numb…but for some reason I just want to cry," Naruto said flashing that grin.
"So…so cry…just because you're Hokage doesn't mean you can't cry." I pointed out.
I didn't want to be the only one crying.
"I just…don't think I can…I don't want you to get the wrong impression. I'm not going to cry because-" he took a sharp intake of breath, "because I'll be dead and gone…but because I'm leaving everyone…and I'd promised not to…I promised…remember?"
"Naruto…you can…I give you permission to break that promise…" I whisper bitterly though I know with out Naruto…I'm going to wither away. "I don't want you to stay with…with how hurt you are…because…"
"Because I could never fight with you again Sasuke-kun," Naruto breathed.
"…That's right idiot…" I whisper back.
"Ah…how dare you speak to your Hokage that way?" Naruto snorted closing his blue eyes.
"Don't…close your eyes…I want to watch you go…so I can tell…" I trail off. I can't use my voice anymore or I'll break down.
"Sasuke-kun…you can cry too if you want," Naruto said as my teardrops splashed on his face, "it's and order as your Hokage…for you to cry."
I sob at his words, but I keep my eyes open and watch his face as those blue eyes dim.
And he left without a single tear.
End.
This was a no more then 500 world challenge.
