A/N; Hello there! Alright, I've decided to practise my drabble skills. So here is my series of drabbles. I'll admit that they aren't my strength, so any constructive criticism is welcome to help me improve. I also don't own Artemis Fowl, as you all already knew.

Title; Cardiac Arrest
The heart; often considered the most vital organ of the body. But why exactly is that? The heart can not function without the constant instruction of the brain. Medical minds have revealed that the human body can survive for up to six minutes without a pulse, as long as the brain is intact.
He was the brain. She was the heart. He planned out their elaborate path to success and she sustained it, keeping it alive and breathing. It was marvellous how they worked together, almost dependant on one another. However, the brain started to feel as though the heart, with all her emotions, held him back. He did not like being held back.
And then something went wrong; something no medical journal could ever explain. And the heart stopped working, gave out, walked away. And so the brain was left by himself.
His outer demeanour never faltered. He was the brain, who had sustained the heart all these years. On the inside, though, he knew. He was the brain, after all, and he knew everything. Six minutes to live.
He was frozen, his tiny world of intellect crumbling around his ears. He watched it helplessly, feeling the oxygen level dip dangerously low. Feeling himself slip away from everything he once knew.
It was funny how thoughts can change, with just one minute to live. He screamed for help, for his heart to come back to him and save him from his miserable last seconds. But she never came. She was dead to him. And he was just plain dead.

So I couldn't get it right down to 100. It was very difficult. I would like to thank my beta Nikki, who is super awesome. And I would also like to ask for reviews, and some advice on how to drabble better. Cheers!
