Will it be weird if I told you that I happily skipped along the sidewalk as I approached the restaurant that had my fiancée? Boys don't skip unless they are playing hopscotch but I guess that can be given an exemption.
"Sky! There you are! Did you get struck in heavy traffic?"
"Not really. Just wanted to look my best for you. "
"I'm flattered. As usual."
"You sound like you being flattered is bad."
"It isn't honestly!"
"But why does it seem like that?"
"That I can't explain. But my stomach is grumbling to eat. Can you please accompany this kind man to eat?"
"Yes dear sire. This madam is happy to accompany you."
"You make it sound like my social position is way higher than yours. I may be a prince but you are also a princess."
"Never mind. Let's eat!"
"Agreed."
As I hastily eat the feast in front of me, I see Bloom laughing. It makes me smile at how happy she is. It's only then I realize, she's laughing at me.
"Why are you laughing at me?"
"Why are you in such a hurry to eat? We can take our time. Is there something you have to attend to?"
Why am I rushing? Oh yeah. I remember how happy I was when I was heading here. Fumbling with a small box in my pocket that held that will be a soon remembrance of this moment. That's right. I'm going to marry her.
"Sky? Is something wrong?"
"Nothing. Nothing at all. It's just..."
"Something wrong?"
"Well. You know how we have been together for years now."
"Sky, I don't like that tone. Stop beating around the bush."
"No. Bloom please. Hear me out. We have loved each other for years. Been together for years. I have loved you ever since we met and I know you felt the same. I thought I was hopeless in love until I met you. I love you Bloom. From the beginning until the end."
"I love you too Sky."
I knelt on my knee as Bloom's eyes began to be filled with tears. The remaining customers began to stare in our direction. Most of them smile while others are in awe.
I brought out a small box and opened it slowly. Bloom was holding in her tears of happiness.
"Bloom Peters. Daughter of Mike Peters and Vanessa Peters. My fiancée. My one and only love. I gave my heart to you but now, I give everything of me to you. Bloom, will you marry me?
A smile is what I see and tears of happiness roll down her face.
That response for me is enough.
