(A/N:) I attempted a Sherlock one-shot! I APOLOGIZE FOR THE CREEPINESS IN ADVANCE :P
Note: The bold letters are the words of a lullaby that's being sung
John Watson held his baby girl for the first time.
Hush little baby, don't you cry
"Isn't she beautiful, John?" Mary said wistfully.
The army doctor smiled and nodded, unable to find words. The baby grabbed his finger in her chubby hand.
As he held Casey, John accepted his greatest challenge yet. Fatherhood.
Daddy John will always be by your side
Mary cuddled her daughter, already imagining the upcoming days filled with tea parties and dress-ups. She couldn't wait.
Hush little baby, just stay right here
It was obvious that Casey got her looks from her mother. She already had a head full of blonde hair and bright, blue eyes.
"Isn't Sherlock stopping by?" Mary asked her husband.
John shrugged. "He said he was, but who knows?"
Mary kissed Casey's head as the girl drifted off to sleep.
Mummy Mary holds you very dear
Sherlock Holmes had come and was now holding Casey. John kept a watchful eye because he really didn't know what the consulting detective
would do.
Hush little baby, just stay still
"Well, are you going to say anything?" John prompted after several moments of silence.
"Yes, yes," Sherlock murmured. "Six pounds, seven ounces. Fifteen and a half inches. Fortunately, she got her looks from Mary and not you
John."
Watson snorted. "Does the great Sherlock Holmes have anything else to say?"
"As a matter of fact yes," Sherlock looked at the new parents. "She's going to be a daddy's girl. And you need not hover, John, I know how to
hold an infant." Sherlock assured.
Sherlock really loves you and always will
It was late. Most everyone was asleep but Casey wasn't. She'd been crying for hours, but her wails were drowned out by the distant sirens blaring.
Hush little baby, don't make a sound
A man caressed the little girl's cheek as she finally drifted off to sleep. He rocked Casey back and forth, back and forth. He smiled to himself and a chuckle escaped his lips as he finished his lullaby.
Uncle Moriarty's got you now
(A/N:) I may add more to this and make it a story, but as of right now, it's complete. Please review!
