Hi! Okay, so I was listening to music via Youtube and I stumbled across this adorable little French song from the movie 'Le Papillion' and I thought, Daddy!France and Little!Canada! It fits so perfectly. Especially when you hear it. If you find the song and listen to it while imagining the two walking together, it's just....just too cute!

Francis smiled as he and his little Mattieu walked through the field, the small boy clinging to his guardian's hand as he skipped along beside him. Mattieu turned to look at him with a curious expression. "Papa, why do chickens lay eggs?"
Francis smiled."Because eggs become chickens"
"Why do lovers embrace?" Ah, it looked like his little Mattieu wanted to play twenty questions.
"It's so the pigeons coo"
"Why do the flowers fade?" Mattieu asked, holding a daisy in his small hand. Francis smiled softly/
"Because it's part of their charm"

"Why does fire burn wood?"
"It is to reheat our golden hearts"
"Why does the sea leave?" Mattieu asked, as they walked along the shore for a breif moment.
"It is so we can say 'Again!'"

Francis turned to look at Mattieu. "Did you like out little journey?"
Mattieu smiled and bounced up and down."Oh yes very much!"
"We've seen many beautiful things, no?"
"I want to see grasshoppers!" Mattieu said, dancing along next to Francis.
"Grasshoppers?" Francis chuckled," Why grasshoppers?"
"And dragonflies!" Mattieu continued, unaware of the question.
Francis nodded. "Very well, next time, okay?"
"Okay. Can I ask you something?" Mattieu looked up at him curiously.
"What," Francis laughed slightly." again?"
"Can we continue, but you sing this time?"
"No way!"
"Please?" Mattieu made puppy eyes, trying to sway his guardian.
"No no and no!"
"C'mon it's the last verse!"
"Don't you think you're trying to hard?" Francis asked. Mattieu only giggled.
"Why do our hearts tic toc?" Francis asked, rolling his eyes as Mattieu clapped
"Because the rain goes plip plop"
