Together in the TARDIS

"Doctor, where are you?" Clara asked as she roamed the vast corridors of the TARDIS.

Clara had spent half an hour looking for The Doctor. She wasn't going to stop now.

Meanwhile, The Doctor had just been sitting in his room, contemplating on what he'd done to the lives of his previous companions. "I've done damage, serious damage to their lives.."

He had heard Clara coming down the corridor. The Doctor then shouted, "Clara, I'm in here!"

"Thank the stars." Clara muttered as she opened the door.

"Doctor, what are you doing here? I've spent half an hour looking for you!" She said.

"Nothing Clara.." He weakly said, shelving the book filled with pictures of his former companions.

"Explain, chin boy." She said, getting the book from the shelf.

"I've lost people Clara. People I care about. Some have left me, gone on with their lives, or the worst possible situation.. died." He said with a frown on his face.

Clara flipped through the pages. On each page had showed who they were, how they met The Doctor and how they left.

"You seem so jolly in the photos, Doctor." Clara noted.

"I suppose I do." Said the gloomy Doctor.

Clara couldn't help but notice the page with her Doctor on it.

"Are these The Ponds?" Clara asked, looking at Amy and Rory.

"The Ponds, one of my brilliant and magnificent friends, and one of the best." The Doctor said with a grin.

Clara couldn't help noticing the trio. They looked like family. No wonder The Doctor missed them.

The Doctor then let out a barely audible whimper. He was still saddened about the sudden departure of the Ponds.

Clara looked at The Doctor, still in pain. The Doctor tried to do his best to hide his pain, but Clara saw through it.
Suddenly, Clara hugged the lonely Time Lord. The Doctor was surprised by her sudden display of affection.

"You're never alone, Doctor." Clara reassuringly said.

"People come and go, you'll have to accept it sometime." She continued.

"You're not alone, you have me." Clara said, smiling at the broken Time Lord.

The Doctor then bolted up, and dashed to the control room.

"Where do you wanna go, Clara Oswald?" The Doctor said, leaning on the silver console.

Before Clara could respond, the TARDIS violently shook.

The Doctor quickly looked at the scanner. He was surprised at the information given.

"Looks like we're being captured, by a intergalactic salvage crew!"
