Running
'Just because you can run, doesn't mean you can forget'

"What the hell Rin?" Inuyasha holds my scared wrist in his hands.
"My knife slipped while I was cooking," I yank me hand away and turn to go home. He snatches me back.
"Rin your knife didn't slip. Why are you doing this to yourself?" he ask the question the he already knows the answer to.
"You know why Inuyasha," I pull free from him and run.
I run to leave him behind. I run to leave them all behind. I run to get home faster so I could feel the blade bite into my porcelain skin. I run to get back home and see that he has come back, but I know that will never happen. I run to take away this pain in my heart. I run to try and feel something that I lost long ago.

"Hey Rin!" Kagome greets me at school. I flash her the fake smile I have mastered in the last two months. She smiles back, a real smile. That's something I wish I could have, a real smile.
"Kagome." I say and get my stuff from my crammed locker. Books fall and papers fly. I sigh and bend to get them up.
I hear Kagome gasp. I look up and she is holding the case that holds my pain reliver, though its not pills.
"Rin whats this?" she ask looking inside. She sees the blades stained red. I snatch it back and shove it in my bag. My locker slams shut with all my stuff inside. I turn away. She turns me back.
"Answer me Rin!" she demands. He hands close around my wrist where I'm sure Inuyasha has told her the scars are.
"It's nothing," I say again and her hands fall from my wrist. I sling my bag over my shoulder, and I walk away. I turn a corner and see him with her.
He has his arm snaked around her waist while she leans her head on his shoulder. I turn back around and start away, but as I walk I feel his amber eyes burning a hole in my back. I take a corner and the feeling is gone, but my heart hurts even more.

He's waiting at my car. His silver hair blowing in the afternoon wind. He watches as I go to my car and unlock the door, not saying a word to him.
"Rin." his voice. The same monotone that I used to hear moan out my name.
"What?" I snap. He looks me over, taking me in. My chocolate eyes, once full of life now nothing more than empty orbs. My raven hair, once what every women wanted, now hung lose, long and untamed.
"Inyasha told me what you were doing," he says. He watches my every move with his demon eyes.
"Why would you care?" I ask, my hands are shaking.
"I don't." he lies. I know he is. Inuyasha told me that their father said that he needed a demon female as a mate, not a human.
"Then leave me alone, Sesshomaru," I get in my car and drive away with my heart in his hands and my blade waiting at home calling for me.
