AN: I just felt so much angst and this was created. I'm sorry. In the next chapter you see how he died.

"Tony Stark was many things. To some he was a colleague, others a friend. To many people, he was a hero. Though he wouldn't believe you if you tried to convince him that he was truly. But to me, Tony, he wasn't just a hero. He was the man I loved," Steve fought back some tears. He was the last to give his speech. He looked before the miserable looking friends he knew so well. He could see Nick, Natasha, Clint, Bruce, Thor and he even spotted Pepper in the background amongst other faces. Even though she and Tony had split a while back when Tony fell for Steve, they still remained good friends.

"He was the man who taught me to believe in myself, to not care what others thought or said about you, and most importantly. He taught me that no matter what happens there is always a way I can make it better." A few tears fell from Steve's tired and lonely blue eyes but he continued.

"I can remember the day he proposed. I was so happy. He did it on New Years Eve and had used fireworks to say 'Will you marry me?' I can remember that day so well. We were so excited until the big battle in London. I lost my fiancé before I had the chance to marry him. Though, I will always love him and never forget him," Steve finished there.

He rubbed his eyes. He had never been so exhausted in his entire life. He couldn't get to sleep because at night the day Tony passed away haunted him. The day he had lost everything. All his dreams were shattered; dreams of getting married, adopting and growing old with Tony. He felt so foolish to believe that he might actually have a happy ever after.

The rest of the funeral went in a blur. Steve couldn't concentrate properly. He hadn't realized the funeral was over until Natasha tapped his shoulder, whispering that it was time to leave. He was so lost without Tony. He felt so much guilt for his lover's early demise. Every time Steve closed his eyes the memories came back and tormented him.
