Nymphadora Tonks screamed as she watched her Aunt torture her mother.

"You muggle loving traitor, I've waited year to do this for turning your back on our family and Lord. Bellatrix said, viciously before spitting on her sisters face.

Tonks screamed again and attempted to rush foreward to help her mother, only to be thrown back by an invisible wall. Tonks chocked back a sob as she reached for her wand, only to have it roll several meters in front of her. She reached for it only to once again be tossed backwards.

Sobbing, Tonks watched helplessly as her mothers limp and bloodied body withered on the floor. "No leave her alone! Leave her a--"

Tonks awoke suddenly, in the arms of one Remus Lupin. Sobbing, Tonks leaned into his embrace.

"Shh. Everything is alright. It was only a dream." He whispered.

"It was so real. I couldn't get to her." Tonks sobbed into Remus' shoulder.

"Get who? Tell me about it. It will make you feel better." Remus said. Nodding, Tonks took a deep breath, leaned back so she could look at Remus and recounted her nightmare to him.

"And then you woke me up." She finished, tears still streaming down her cheeks.

"Feel better?" he asked wiping two new tears with his thumbs.

"A little. Thanks for listening."

"No problem. He said giving her hand a squeeze. "Let's go get you some breakfast."

"Sounds good." She said untwisting the sheet that she had tangled herself in. "You go cook and I'll get cleaned up."

"Okay." He chuckled, kissing her forehead. "How about some toast and fried eggs?"

"Good idea. You're the sweetest guy in the world Remus." She said pulling him into a warm embrace. Remus smiled and kissed her forehead again, then her lips softly before pulling back.

"I'll go start breakfast."

"I'll be down in ten minutes." Tonks replied, as Remus left the room, closing the door behind him. With a sigh Tonks walked towards the bathroom, to take a quick shower and brush her teeth before breakfast.

Looking in the mirror she decided on shoulder length wavy teal hair for the day, before undressing and stepping in the shower.

Fifteen minutes later Tonks stumbled downstairs and walked into her and Remus' small kitchen. "Mmm breakfast smells delicious." Tonks said walking up behind Remus and wrapping her arms around his waist.

"It's almost ready. Why don't you carefully set the table?"

"Will do." She replied, before reaching up and kissing his cheek. A few minutes later the two were sitting down eating breakfast in a comfortable silence.

"Tonks? I have something to ask you." Remus said, getting out of his chair and walking over to her, one hand in his pocket.

"What is love?"

Kneeling before her, Remus pulled something from his pocket. "Will you be my wife?"

Stunned, Tonks dropped her fork. She stared at him for a few seconds in shock before smiling brightly, her teal hair turning a sunny yellow. "Of course I will! Took you long enough to ask. "She said happily.

With a sigh of relief, Remus slid the small engagement ring on her finger. "I love you so much." He said, pulling her down off the chair and into his arms.

"I love you too." She replied, with a content sigh. "So I have nowhere to be for another hour and a half…" She said slyly.

"Good." He said, scooping her up into his arms and carrying her back upstairs, breakfast still on the table.

So what do you all think? Definatly not my best piece of writing. I'm not sure if I like how it came out. Review!

Please note this is a one shot, and I doubt there will be any more chapters for it. Those who read my other stuff, look for the next chappie of Mother Matchmakers in a month or so-when I get more time to sit down and give it the attention it deserves. I have not abandoned it!
