Her Eyes
"You killed her!" Sly wailed while his eyes filled with tears.
Bentley's head dropped in shame; he'd only reacted on instinct. He'd been out playing with his latest invention, a bomb that when it exploded, shrunk people to miniature sizes. Needless to say the guards were the best bet to test the explosives out on. Though, when he was messing with the goons Carmelita decided to intervene at the wrong time.
The bomb exploded, and the effects were immediate. The Inspector was headstrong, or just oblivious that she has shrunk. She proceeded to fire blasts at Bentley, which made the genius respond by kicking wildly in fear of being shocked…which ended in the cop falling to the ground unmoving. He'd contacted Murray, and Sly for help, against his better judgment.
"Why are her eyes still open though?" Murray asked scratching the back of his head confusedly.
Cooper was on his knees sobbing, "He killed her!"
"But her eyes-" The hippo pressed.
"SHE'S DEAD!" Sly screamed dramatically.
While he raccoon balled his eyes out, and Bentley kept his head down in absolute self loathing-Murray continued to stare unwaveringly, "Her eyes are freaking me out man!" He shuffled nervously.
"That's all you care about!" His hysteric friend demanded angrily, "She's dead!"
"She isn't dead if her eyes are open!" Murray fully turned away from the suspicious open-eyed fox.
"Bentley murdered her!" The thief accused.
Suddenly, with a blast of electricity, Cooper was unconscious on the ground, Bentley fell out of his wheelchair knocked out as well, and just as Carmelita was about to shoot Murray he shouted, "I KNEW IT!"
