The Warning
"Jerry, Jerry, I don't think this is a good idea," Jimmy said uneasily.
"Jimmy, your always the one who spoils all the fun. I thought we were going to have fun this summer," Jerry answered.
"Well, you can do it alone this year Jerry, 'cuz I don't wanna get in trouble again like last year."
"Ow! Can you be quit for just one minute please, we have to work on hot-wiring this car, and I just got shocked,"Jerry said.
But Jimmy was already running down the street like a maniac screaming and waving hi arms. "He's such a bay!" Jerry muttered under his breath. He heard a soft hissing noise behind him, as he looked at the seat next to him he saw a rattlesnake ready to strike. "Just back away slowly," he kept hearing the T.V. man say in his head, remembering how his dad made him watch the stupid show Hiss Hiss. But he couldn't even move. Finally he lifted his arm slowly, the snake just watched him, fangs ready to bite and inject poisonous venom into his body. He bent out of the car and slammed the door shut. "Well, I guess that wasn't such a stupid show after all, it just saved my life," Jerry exclaimed.
Jerry walked home as the rattlesnake encounter kept playing back in his head. "I have to remember to thank dad when I get home." He walked inside hi house hoping to see his parents or sibling, but he didn't see anybody. He looked at the refrigerator (which is where they often left notes) and saw a note. It said "Gone to get groceries with dad, be back after dinner. There is some leftover Brussel sprouts left in the fridge for your dinner. See you soon love, Mom." "P.S. your brother and sister went out with some friends, they'll be back later." "Eww! Brussel sprouts." "I'll just watch T.V. until they get home." But it wasn't fun because his parents or siblings still hadn't come home, and it was already 8:30 PM. So he decided to call his parents but they had left their cell phones. Jerry decided to call Jimmy. They weren't home but they left messages about where they went, this one was. "Uh...Hello, background voices and then Jimmy's dad said; hello we are out in search of pie, leave a message, thank you. Beep "Hi guys, it's Jerry...uh... my parents are gone, and my brother and sister aren't home either, what should I do. Ok call me when you can bye." "I wonder why their not home yet either," he said.
He heard a window break upstairs. He was scared, "don't let it be a burglar," he thought.
He went upstair trying to find glass, he found some in his parents room. Someone or something had broken the glass window. He heard a soft hissing sound and slowly turned around. There was a rattlesnake, like the one he saw earlier today, but this one had blazing red eyes!
