Okay, so I wrote this last year band it was a month before February. And I was planning on publishing it then... But it didn't seem to work out... So here it is~! I'm gonna check later on my desktop. Gotta look pretty and stuff. Anyways, Happy Valentine's Day~!
Being nervous did not suit Germany. It was a very different emotion than he was used to. So of course he would feel nervous. Especially on a day like this. Today was a very special day, one that came once a year. And for the first time in years, he had someone special to spend it with. Germany gripped a box of chocolates and a single red rose tightly in his hand. What if he didn't like it? What if he didn't return his feelings? Rejection is what Germany feared. He couldn't stand that their close friendship to break because of something like this. He could only hope that his special person would return his feelings.
Said person burst in the living room. "Germany!" Italy exclaimed in happiness. Germany quickly hid the two presents behind his back. "H-hey." Germany smacked himself mentally. Why the hell did he stutter? He took a deep breath to calm himself down. "Did you have a good time at Romano's?" He asked Italy. Italy nodded. "Yep! We made lots of pasta and we ate it all. Spain helped too!" Italy smiled.
His smile.
The one of the many things he loved about Italy is his smile. That bright infectious smile. He couldn't help but smile back. It was a gentle smile. One that was full of love and happiness. One that held no fear.
Germany felt his fear disappear, leaving only a small trace.
"Italy. I have to tell you something." the German said. Italy stopped talking and stare at the Ayran in front of him. "Ve? What is it?"
Germany pulled the box of chocolates along with the rose. "H-here... These are for you..." Germany said quietly. "Ve?" Italy looked at him in confusion, wondering what brought this on.
He took the box of chocolates and the rise. He stared at them and then back to Germany. "Ve?" he repeated. Germany sighed quietly. "America told me that there is holiday that is celebrated every year in his nation." He stopped. Italy was looking at the rose in slight wonder.
"When is it?" Italy asked quietly. "It is today..." The German answered.
"On this day, they give gifts to people..." he trailed off. "Ve? What kind of people?" Italy questioned. The German could feel his face getting warmer at the thought of his next words. "It's more like they give a gift to one person... A person that is very special to them..." Germany whispered, hoping Italy didn't hear this. But Italy did. He smiled brightly. "Does this mean Germany loves me?" He asked happily. He couldn't believe this. Germany actually loved him! He was so happy! "J-ja. Valentine's Day... Ich liebe dich." Germany said, looking into Italy eyes. Italy stood there. Then suddenly, Germany let out a small grunt as he was suddenly hugged from the bubbly Italian. "Ti amo!" Italy shouted with happiness.
Germany smiled in relief.
He kissed Italy.
