CASTOR BLOOR: Son of Naren Bloor, adopted grandchild to Bartholomew Bloor. Castor lives with his grandfather and mother hidden in the town's wild woods. His endowment is the ability to manipulate shadow. He is most known for making himself invisible by manipulating the shadows around him.

VIOLET BLOOR: Daughter of Manfred Bloor, her mother is unknown. Like her father she has two endowments: hypnotism and fire. She has hidden her endowments from her relatives for years.

STELLA BONE: A magician and a picture traveler. Her father is Charlie Bone. He disappeared two years ago, prompting Stella to move in with her godmother. Her mother is unknown, but described vaguely by her father as a famous starlet.

ELIJAH ENDLESS: His father is an important and wealthy figure who sells land for development off the coastline. His mother is an unknown water naiad. He lives with his step-mother and father in the North, but because of his father's job he is sent down to live with a distant aunt. He is a water elemental.

FERRIS GUNN: An illusionist. His endowment comes from his mother's side. His father is a famous musician who is currently on a world tour. His mother is unknown but he is told by his father jokily that she was a famous babe who got her start in Vegas.

LORALIE SAGE: She lives with her grandparents in the Height's since her parents died when she was young. Like her father, she is also a spirit summoner, with a darker twist-Loralie can talk to ghosts of deceased people. She believes her father to still be alive because she cannot contact his spirit and the spirit of her mother refuses to talk about him.

CHRYSTSANTHUM SILK: A physcic who is plagued from visions of the future. Her father, Mr. Silk, is a rich and famous playwright who suddenly disappears. Her father's staff refuses to acknowledge that he has disappeared and Chrysta later learns that they have been paid to keep quiet. Guided with a series of visions she shows up at her father's hometown. She is currently on the run, and lives with Castor and his family hidden in the woods.

ELEKTRA TORSSON: Eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Torsson. A storm-bringer, most known for shocking people who annoy her. Her best friend is Loralie Sage.

THORN TORSSON: Younger brother of Elektra. A flyer, like his mother, but he doesn't have to change into a bird to do so. Regardless, he can also turn into a bird.

JAMES YEWBEAM: A power-booster. Son to Paton and Julia Yewbeam. Eldest of all the children (age 20) He currently lives with his mother in Ingledew's bookshop. Upset about his father's sudden disappearance.
