A/N : Another scene that wouldn't leave my mind. I think they should explore more of Castle's dark side.
"How close to death do you wanna get?"
The second time Richard Castle heard those words was a twisted replay of the first. He was again looking in Jerry Tyson's cold eyes. He was in a seedy motel room. Kate was desperately looking for him. But this time instead of Ryan fallen on the ground it was Dr. Kelly Nieman who was tied and gagged. This time he was there because he wanted to. And this time he had an answer.
"Closer." For a brief moment he was surprised for how cold and hollow his own voice sounded. The psychopath smiled and handled him a knife.
"Start with Nieman; now that I finally have you I don't need her anymore."
As he slowly walked to the woman's unconscious body on the floor, he heard his hearth pulsing loudly on his ears. There was a rush of adrenaline when she opened her eyes, and the fear he saw in them triggered something inside him. It was instinctive, he didn't need to think, he just held the knife and pressed the sharp edge of the blade slowly into her porcelain skin. The pleasure he felt watching her blood soak the carpet and the life leaving her couldn't be compared to nothing he had ever experienced.
It was fascinating. So red… and that metallic smell was intoxicating ... he looked back at the doctor's face again, her green eyes eternally frozen in shock for Tyson's betrayal.
Castle stood, enjoying the scene. There was nothing more beautiful than death. But something was missing, something that would make it perfect. Oh. He smiled. That was it.

Hours later when Beckett received Karpowsk's call about a woman's body covered in rose petals, she felt a chill through her spine and a sharp pain crossing her hearth, and she knew that he was never coming back.
A/N: So… I don't know what to think about it yet. And sorry for the mistakes. Ah… Review please ?(*_*)
