Facing the Past: The 666th Hunger Games

SYOT OPEN After 666 years of pain and suffering, a cold hearted president was not elected. This new, nice president has watched the Hunger Games all his life and was ashamed at what Panem was coming to. Ming has decided to take over the old presidential ways and stop the Hunger Games. But before that happens, he better give the Capitol a taste on what it's like to be in the arena.

President Ming Lee's POV

"We should end the hunger games." Somehow, part of me knew that the Gamemakers were gonna be mad about this.

"WHAT, WHY?!" Micheal Chang questioned

"Because the hunger games kill our teenagers, and you know what happened to President Snow." I replied

"Only because he let the two tributes live, if he didn't-"

"The boy wouldn't have won they would've both died." I interrupted

"That's not true!" Micheal shouted back

"Yes it is! You know that they were a couple!" I yelled back

"Fine. You win, but one last game." Micheal replied

"Sure, it's a deal" I said.

So the decision was made. We shook hands and walked our ways.

The next day I announced the news to all the Districts.

"Hello everyone this is President Ming Lee. I would like to say a short announcement."

I took a breath and continued

"We are ending the hunger games."

I heard people screaming in joy and anger.

"However we will be having one last game, and this one... will be different. It will follow the customs of any other Hunger Games, although this time... you people will not be in it."

"We will."
