"Who's that, Zabimaru?"
He lied, she knew he lied about not knowing him. But that didn't matter to her now that they met again. He didn't change one bit, still wearing the same outfit, still fiery red hair and still showing his cute little fang. The only thing that had changed was him being chained to a hairy lady's waist. She smiled as they undid the chain, setting him free once more. Now there was only a small of space gap between the two, it was very unlike her to take the first step. But she did, she closed it by giving him a strong hug. She yelled his name as if she were ready to cry, "Zabimaru!" How did they miss each other, for such a short period time of being together, he was taught a lot and started to like her.
"I'm glad ya wanted ta see me 'gain."
From the moment they parted, he came to Gense every night, checking up on the girl when she was outside or in the store they first met. Though their meeting wasn't exactly a sparkling love at first sight, it was alright. Ichigo approached his sister as she slowly backed away from the hug she shared with the redheaded zanpakutou. He apologized, "I'm sorry about not telling you earlier, but he wanted you to forget." It was true, the snake wanted the dark-haired girl to forget about him, everything they did together and just deny his existence. But she never lost faith that she would meet him again, even if she had to wait a whole century. She was a full-fledged shinigami now, she was graduated, placed in a squad and knew everthing she needed to know.
Renji had taught her about the swords they carried, she heard him saying out the name of his zanpakutou; Zabimaru. The young red-headed boy, a snake; Hebi and an older woman the curvaceous monkey; Saru. Together they formed the soul in his katana, Zabimaru. It was like an alarm in her head went off when he mentioned the spirits, so she remembered almost everything she was told. "Zabimaru," her eyes lit up as she spoke. That name! Her concentrated frown turned into a genuine smile as she begged Renji to let her see Hebi once more.
So Renji granted her this wish, Ichigo was his friend after all. So now they all stood in the park, where Hebi used to spend his time catching animals while he was free. Renji and Saru on one side, Yuzu and Ichigo the the other. Though Yuzu couldn't see the spirits clearly, she could feel the emotion filled reiatsu of her sister. This was a big moment for her, and all she could do was stand and wait for her brother's signal that it was time to leave.
Blue eyes met dark grey orbs, the time they stared at each other seemed like eternity. A faint cough from behind her stopped the tension. She fiddled with the material of her shihakusho, "I'll visit you guys in Soul Society soon."
"Lookin' forward to it, Karin-chan."
Renji opened the Senkaimon, signalling it was time to leave the human world and to return back to Soul Society. Saru's consort didn't seem to notice this as his eyes were fixated on the girl before him. She sighed, "Hebi, it's time to go." Saru announced. He turned around, following his wielder to the other world. He glanced at her quickly before leaving again. Karin smiled warmly at the closing gate before her eyes, "Zabimaru. . ."
