This is my first true love story. I hope it is not to awful for some of you readers out there. I am not usually a "romancy" type of guy, but I been thinking a lot and this seemed the best way to express what I was feeling. So I hope you enjoy this story:

What is love?

Love is not some mere imaginative word that can be controlled by a goddess.

No one can just magically cause this feeling to happen instantaneously. Not even a god. They make cause fake feelings to happen, but not true love.

This is what Percy felt for this smart, funny, sweet blonde girl. His true loves name was Annabeth Chase. She was the perfect girl for him and the only one in the world he could ever have these feelings for.

Percy knew that he loved this girl. He realized that when one day he and Annabeth were fighting against Kronos'. The way she took that knife for him and saw him drop, he could not think of anything but her. The feelings that he felt for her suddenly just swarmed towards at him all at once. And out of all those feelings, one word came from that: love.

These are the thoughts Percy was thinking of the night he was sitting in his cabin after his magical underwater kiss with Annabeth.

His mind could not get of the subject. He loved Annabeth, but he was not sure if he loved him. Sure she had kissed him, but that did not mean she loved him. Besides, he was sixteen. How could he know what love truly was?

One thing was sure to Percy as he was lying in his bed: he could not sleep. He decided to take a midnight walk to the ocean. The salt water always seemed to calm him down.

He slipped on a pair of jeans and a camp half-blood t-shirt and headed out. The night was cool and comfortable. Once he got to the beach he sat down in the sand and just listened to the gentle wave of the beach.

He lied down in the sand and just stared out at the stars. He started to just stare at the stars and pointed out constellations to himself.

He looked at Hercules and the one that looked to be a girl hunting. Poor Zoe. Then he heard footsteps coming up behind him.

Percy turned around and shouted "Whose there?" the person said back "Percy?"

He knew that voice. The person that was on his mind. He focused at the silhouette and saw her. Annabeth.

He replayed back "oh, hey Annabeth. Couldn't sleep either?"

"No. Kind of a big day and everything was swarming around in my mind." 'Classic Annabeth. Always thinking about everything' Percy thought.

Annabeth walked over and sat down beside Percy. Percy looked at her and she looked back. They were staring into each other's eyes until they both turned away blushing slightly.

"So why are you out here?" Annabeth asked Percy to make things less awkward. "Nothing I guess. After everything that happened today, who can?"

"Yeah." For five minutes, neither of them said anything. Both thinking about the battle. Then they both suddenly said each other's names.

"Sorry" Percy said "What did you need to say." Annabeth looked at the waves, then back at him. " I needed to tell you something and I don't know if I should or not."

This is only the first chapter. I know it is not very long but I this is only the beginning. I don't know where this story is heading. I think I burnt whatever feelings I had writing this so mission accomplished for me anyway. Hope so of you liked it.
