Kurotabo and Torii are extremely excited of what will happen soon. Torii is pregnant with their first child and the baby is due in a few days. However, despite the excitement of it all, they do have a problem at the moment. Kurotabo had been worrying and mothering Torii non-stop since as the due date is coming closer. Though the medical field has improved greatly these days, you can never predict what can happen during childbirth.
Due to this, Kurotabo has started to glare at people and smother Torii. He also made started to make sire that her every need was taken care of efficiently and quickly. 'It's starting to get quite irritating' Torii thought.
"Torii!" Kurotabo yelled out as he quickly went to Torii down the hall. "You should be resting! The baby could be here any day now!" Kurotabo said, as he ushered Torii back into their room so she could rest. He also noted the irritated look on her face.
"Kuro, I'm pregnant, not an invalid. Just because our child is due soon does not mean I should just lie in bed all day doing nothing. I want to do some sort of exercise and something to do, so knock it off," Torii said. "And stop getting people to do things for me. I can do it myself!" Torii finished off. Really, this was getting quite ridiculous.
"Honey, I know you can do things yourself. I'm just worried," Kurotabo said. Torii regarded him for a few seconds before realizing that he is not telling her something.
"Kuro, what's the real reason that you are worrying so much? And I mean the real reason, not some half-assed one that you give me sometimes" Torii said as she gave Kurotabo a look that meant he was not going to get out of the situation. Kurotabo was shocked. 'I guess I can't hide anything from her no matter how much I try' Kurotabo thought.
"I'm worried that you might not make it when you give birth to our child. Despite the medical improvements there are today, you still never know what can happen during childbirth. I don't want to lose you or our child." Kurotabo confessed, and the feeling of weight that he was carrying lifted as he said what was bothering him. Torii just smiled at him.
"Kuro, you are not going to lose me or the baby. You make it seem that us women haven't been giving birth for thousands of years. I will be fine and the baby will be fine. Please stop worrying. It makes me sad," Torii said. With that, Kurotabo smiled. Torii was right and she always keeps her promises.
"I also want you to promise me something" Torii said.
"Anything dear" Kurotabo replied.
"Stop harassing everyone to attend to my every need. Do want what happened to Rikuo to happen to you?" Torii said with force and Kurotabo paled. When Kana was pregnant, Rikuo was acting in a similar way to the way he was and Kana got pissed. They were lucky that when Kana hit Rikuo with a bat, he didn't get a concussion.
"Of course dear. Don't forget to rest, you will need the energy to give birth to our child" Kurotabo said with a slight smile.
"Shut up and get out before I kill you" Torii said and Kurotabo rushed out of the room after he kissed her on the cheek.
