"By the end of the week, all women must be circumcised or I'll do this—" General Butt-Fucking Naked had pulled the trigger of his gun, the bullet immediately flying to the person he aimed at. Though, the man stepped away immediately, and the bullet went straight forward to the man behind him.
It went straight for Kevin Price.
Kevin stumbled backwards as blood immediately gushed out of his chest. He fell on his back as he started coughing; his eyes seeing different mixes of blurred colors. The other's reactions were immediate; Arnold Cunningham had called for medical attention and the other elders. Afterwards, both Nabulungi and Arnold both tried their best in applying first aid to the Mormon, trying to keep him alive.
As Kevin lay there suffering, his mind had started pondering on his faults and sins that may have led to this moment. He was just a simple Mormon who followed every rule of a Mormon and God's will. He read the Book of Mormon when he had the opportunity to. He devoted his life to his religion, not failing at following commands. He loved being a Mormon, the Lord God and his son, Jesus.
Yet, why was he shot? Why was he let to die because of a gunshot?
Why did God let him meet such fate?
Did his selfishness lead to this? Did his lies about that donut lead to this? Yes, he was selfish, but did all those sins convince God he was a sinner? God does all things because of a reason, even if the thing he had done was good or bad. So, with Kevin fatally shot, what good thing has God done with him dying? Yes, he might go to heaven and live eternally, but he hasn't finished his mission here on earth. He was so young, and yet, here he was, dying.
Has God forbidden him?
Has God despised him? Was he the worst sinner God has experienced? Did God execute him because he was an intense sinner? No—it can't be right, it wouldn't. God loved his people, correct? He led his people and followers to salvation, accepting their sins and welcoming them even if they were good or bad. So, what gives? What was Kevin's intense sin that differentiates him from those sinners? Heck, he loved God.
But God chose him to die instead of living happily.
Then if dawned on him—God didn't like him. There was something so unfair about this thought that it his wound hurt even more if he thought of it. He was an extreme sinner, unlike the rest. Maybe he was even worse than Arnold. And he was deemed to die instead of following his dreams. He had no future for him to live. It was like God chose him to die because he didn't want him to fulfill any mission or dream he wanted.
Kevin only wanted to follow God, to spread his word to the world, to read the Book of Mormon, and help others. He wanted to go to Orlando, to Disneyland, to Sea World, to go putt-putt golfing to spread the Book of Mormon.
But God had forbidden him; God made him die instead of fulfilling his life.
And Kevin took his last breath.
