Remembrance Day
Biowulf stood still against an open field of grass, a single stone monument was the only thing to be seen for miles. The day was clear and sunny, the pale blue skies obscured the inner turmoil Biowulf felt. The wolf held white daylilies in his claws. He offered his token to the ground before the monument which represented Van Kleiss. A special area of Abyssus had been cleared to make way for the statue commemorating the disappearance of Van Kleiss.
Biowulf sighed with a heavy heart the words, "Master." He thought about how Van Kleiss's disappearance was all Breach's fault. But Rex couldn't be left out of the blame either, if it wasn't for Rex, Van Kleiss would have kept Breach at bay. As vengeful feelings rose inside him, Biowulf snorted in anger and pounded his fist on the ground to the side of the monument. Van Kleiss's disappearance left the wolf feeling emptied and abandoned. The wolf fell to his knees and his crimson colored eyes narrowed in frustration. He would have to trust that wherever Van Kleiss was, his master's intelligence would keep him alive and well.
Biowulf got up, using a shaky arm to grab onto the monument to prop himself up. He was unsure of himself with Van Kleiss gone.
He turned and saw Skalamander standing a few feet away. The green of the grass matched the other Evo's skin.
"Kleiss will be back," Skalamander offered his words to comfort Biowulf, but Biowulf merely grunted in reply. "As for Breach, who knows if she will dare show up."
Skalamander made a gesture with his crystal-spiked hand motioning for Biowulf to get a move on. "We got things to do," Skalamander grunted. The two walked off the grass and onto the soil. They made their way toward Van's castle. They were busy interviewing a bunch Evo's to see if any of them were worthy of recruitment. Together they wanted to help Van Kleiss continue building the new world.
